    Bingo. NT interface is nice and consistent.
    Screen fonts are much better too.
    KDE is nice, but too many applications do not follow ANY reasonbable keyboard shortcut scheme.

    Now: how to get multiple desktops in NT? With a pager. Then I would consider using it to log into our big Solaris box.
    Now boot KDE/Linux to get that 25 non overlapping windows I NEED...

    ... They should check other evidence before making broad statements like that. Most of of other evidence (like from supernova standard candles experiment) points to expanding universe. (omega less than 1)

    Most people would not buy PIII if this investigation proves foul play by U.S. So it should proceed.
    I would not trust U.S. government by default.

    And yes, people ARE stupid. Most of them have no clue about such features and just look at flashy ads promising "internet experience" (what a crock). Goverments have responsibility to protect all of its citizens and businesses, not just well-informed ones, like you smartass..

    All true, but what is not so real about Linux and FreeBSD? Seems to work just fine for me- and I am not a hobbyist... Sure, I would put Solaris or True64 on a large server, but that does not make them any more real.
    Appropriate tool for each job..

    Hundreds of small planes make it in every year. It even has not ot be an illegal flight.

    The whole concept of this limited ABM strikes me as very stupid...

    From my knowledge, working in aerospace (both here and back in Russia), for many sattelites even finding them on the orbit is far from trivial. Most earth observing sats are highly maneurable, and it is not hard to make them stealthy as well.

    But do they care that provoking Russia by scrapping missile defence treaty (what ever is the INTENT of the NMD - it is in violation) will effectively kill the START process, and will provoke Russia to develop more warheads with stealth capabilities, which would decrease US safety. Especially if such technology proliferates - and Russia will be happy to sell it to the highest bidder, if provoked like that...

    In fact only Russia is left with nukes. Ukraine, Belorussia, Kazakhstan: all gave up what was on their territory.
    It is still more than enough to blew up the whole planet twice.
    Defence contractor just want more money. They do not give a damn about reality. I will bet that it would be MUCH cheaper and faster for Russia just to add stealth capacilities to its Topol-M boosters. Most experts agree. Most congressmen are bought by defence contractors..

    ... they offered an Athlon based model.. Our place buys Dells, I just upgraded my desktop, and had to settle for a Precision box...
    .. For me an extra 20% in FP on a desktop counts - not every small test run is offloadable to SPARC farm...

    Good thing Dells run Linux perfectly... Though we still had to pay for that NT license..
