That dosen't make sense. It will be up to an appeal, etc, to decide whether or not the court has that power. Basically, courts can do anything. The only reason they keep within the law is that judges don't like being constantly overruled by higher judges and courts of appeal.
Just like there is no illegal arrest (only unlawful), there is no illegal court order.
