    You are correct.

It's actually pretty short-termist too. Women are being pressured into taking on careers, are having children later or not at all and denying the future new scientists, engineers, whatever. It's self-defeating at root.

Now I will attempt to defray the cries by stating that women who are interested in these things should absolutely be encouraged to follow their dreams. I hope my own daughter has significant achievements. Let's not force it though, eh?

True. But there may still be gains to be had.

It kinda reminds me of a local contractor. He does work all over the US. He gets all the equipment transported to the site well ahead of time then when the work is due to begin, loads all the workers on his private plane and flies them out there.

I wonder where there is a break-even whereby it makes sense to send the mechanical stuff ahead but send the computer part on a smaller, faster shot simply due to the power savings and increased processing capacity gained in what would be the time in between the launches.

Gotta agree with you here. There is a spectrum of libertarian positions from left-libertarian to right libertarian and another couple of dimensions thrown in as well. As someone who fits broadly in as a libertarian, I find there plenty of areas that I disagree with other libertarians on and some where it is not clear to me that those who disagree with are actually wrong, it just seems to me that my position is more "right".

This is no different from many other political stances, of course.

However, what most libertarians, more than a few republicans and not a few democrats do agree on is that we are heading away from the direction of personal liberty towards authoritarianism and it should be reversed. The problem is, it's the politicians that fuck it up and invariably, that means both the Republican and Democratic politicians.

If you want more of the same, vote (D) or (R).

I think it's really easy to unbalance a game this way though. Rust is/was much the same way. The penalty for death is low so some players just go around being a-holes. Can't really blame them because it's the game's mechanic but that often cuts off so much of what else a game has to offer.

There are ways to keep the gist of the mechanic in and keep the game fun (bounties, infamy lists etc) but they weren't there the last time I played Rust.

I agree with the principle but you run the risk that the pharm company withdraws all their business from your country and then things get messy.

The poster above mentions low prices in India but I believe India is a country that is willing to put patents aside so that may explain that.

I think drug companies are entitled to make a profit, even a very substantial profit but it should be remembered what patents are there for.

To be fair, there is likely some fire to go with the smoke. Regular vehicles which are only driven short distances can collect water in the exhaust which can lead to corrosion. Hydrogen vehicles might experience something similar. And I guess fuel cell exhaust would not reach similar temperatures to an ICE exhaust. But I'm sure the system could easily be designed to ensure icing up would not be a problem.

Though personally, I think the patent and approval process and other things are totally screwing up drug prices in the first place, the laws of supply and demand still apply, even if the market is distorted.
