Ofcourse the problem is that you are currently unemployed, and a trip to the amazon jungle basin is costs quite a bit. But don't let that get to you. See, you can easily make up for this when you get to the end of the plan, which I will explain later.
So, once you get down to Brazil, just look for a taxi, flag him with a newspaper, just like you would in NY City. When he pulls over, simple say to him, "Deseo tener sexo con su hija." He'll know what you mean and drive you into the jungle and drop you off. If he seems angery or anything or tries to shoot you, simpley explain, "Con usted primero sin embargo."
Well, now you are in middle of the jungle and ready to find a head hunter. Great, except you don't speak the language of some obscure tribe of head hunters in the amazon. Just wander around until you find folks running around in the BVDs (which probably look alot like tanned human flesh, but never mind that). They will greet you probably with spears and poke you a couple times. Don't worry, this is their primative way of saying hello.
Next you can to find their chief, who is probably the guy with feathers and markings in paint all over him. Or that might be his wife, I dunno much about head hunters to tell the truth, but I know a guy who told me he used one and said they worked great.
(I know it seems like I am skipping quite a bit here, but if you can't figure the easy stuff out on your own, you probably do not deserve this job anyways.)
Well, once you get the head hunter back here, show him a photograph of your old boss. You might need to also drive him to his house or place of work (place of work is nice, but you then won't get the job back till all the crime seen tape is taken down, and you are not exactly rich with being unemployed up till now and flying down to Brazil). Well, usually things happen as expected, why do you think they are called "head hunters?" So, now you go your former boss' boss and ask for your old job back. Well, if he doesn't give you the job, well, hopefully the police have not picked up your brazillian friend yet and direct him to your former boss' boss.

So, what we have here is supporting _facts_ that NASA isn't losing its edge in space, and all you can do is say, "Well, let this turn into a 'my space probe is bigger than yours,'" argument?
This I think is actually the cause of NIH code. It is not that developers do not want to reuse code, but when I have to look around 8 sites to find obscure blocks of code just to be able to compile a project, it isn't worth it.
Finding the solution between 80 dependencies and re-writing code, sometimes re-writing code is easier. I know I tried a number of times to get gnucash working under slackware one time and it simpley was not worth my time figuring out all the dependencies.
So, one possible solution is to take other people's code/libraries and package them with your own, but which packages do you do that with? While it is safe to say glibc is on any installation, is it safe to assume (for instance) a postgresql jdbc driver will be? Should you package that with your project or make it a dependency? That is where things get difficult.

Oh, oh, oh! Can I misrepresent Christianity now too?!?
Lets try that again, from a Biblical point of view.
Try reading James especially for a little more insight into this. Thought you are saved through faith, faith is not without works also. James explains this quite well, as the faith that you have, and the grace you receive from God will cause good works to flow from you, that you may glorify God through them.
Also, as another example from one of the gospels, when Christ is on the cross and there are theives on either side of him, one curses and mocks Christ. The other, who obviously realizes who Christ is rebukes the other and asks mercy to be shown to him from Christ when he comes into his kingdom. While his statment that truly Christ is innocent and not deserving of death and the admittance of his own sin and crime of theivery is an act of faith, as is asking mercy of Christ.
So, yes, in theory one may repent of their sins in what is nearly their last breath and have salvation imparted to them, I would have to say this is rare. More often I would guess people have hardend their hearts to accepting the fate they deserve and refuse to admit their own sin and need for a saviour. Therefore no act of faith would be forthcoming from them.

Why pirate? What did you do to earn (or how to you deserve) the pirated goods? If you are not willing to pay for the software/music that you use, why do you have it?
If I did not make money by working for a company that sells software that it (I being one of the programmers) writes I cannot write software that I give away for free. Now if someone copied our software onto the Internet and it was pirated left and right, our company would not be able to sell our software, and I would not get paid. Most any PS roleplaying (*cough* story *cough*) game is open. Every now and then you toss the controller back and forth. RTS games are pretty good, as we have played WCIII (until Blizzard shutdown FreeCraft). MMORPG's are pretty decent, but are quite a time sink. We played EQ for about a year and half before the end. I have to agree here. Co-op is the only way to go.
If you are going to play a FPS, make sure it is team based, and you can work together (like in ET eng/medic combo) far better than most pairs.
There is no 'u' in win either. ;-)
