So, do you not use Windows or OSX then? or any Autodesk or Adobe product that has been paid for? Because they're all locked down with some form of DRM as well.
I honestly don't know why people care so much about ie being bundled with Windows. It's Microsofts OS, let them build it the way they want, it's not like there aren't alternatives out there. I mean there's a million flavors of linux, there's Mac and so on and so forth. This really should be a non issue.
The killer feature that I still think is missing is the ability to exit and save tabs. Chrome can Restore after a crash (most of the time), but you can't manually restart the browser without loosing the history you have open. Another issue I wish they'd fix is remembering the last save directory when doing a "Save As...". I realize that keeping a single Downloads directory is userfriendly, but using it as the default location when the user is overriding the download location is annoying. If I need to download 10 files, I need to navigate to the same directory 10 times. That's just ridiculous.
That "killer feature" is in there, you just have to turn it on in the options, in the "on start-up" section. You just select the option that says restore the pages that were open last. I agree with you on the saving files thing, that is rather annoying.
What the AC said, if everyone keeps the proper following distance it gives everyone the needed reaction time and stopping distance, even if you slam on your brakes it's not an instant stop, & if your 2-4 seconds behind someone it you should also be able to stop in time. Honestly they really do cover this stuff in drivers ed.
That's what proper following distance is for... didn't you pay attention in driver ed? If you keep the right amount of following distance, it would prevent said scenario.
I haven't used the mail client in Opera to this point, but depending on the extent of the upgrades I may start to. It'd be nice to have everything all in one application.
I don't see why not, I paid $60 for a 512MB flash drive in 2004, and that was a good deal at the time, and just recently I bought an 8GB flash drive for $20 off of newegg. That's 16X the capacity for 1/3 the price.
um... you know there are other methods of producing electricity than burning coal right? like hydro electric, or wind? how do you know he doesn't live somewhere where one of those is the power source?
all this talk about web based applications just sounds like a lot of hype to me. I can't see anyone in a home environment actually willing to put up with that crap, it might work for businesses, but I could never see something like this taking over in the home.
"See, he uploaded 4 episodes of Spongebob which was viewed 41 million times in total. That is 41 million sales we lost!"
I've always thought that was a really stupid argument, most people who watch copyrighted material on youtube can't afford to buy it anyway, they may lose out on some small percent of sales, but that's it. And is exactly why they should put ad supported media up on youtube, in high quality so that people will view it.
I use Opera, I can keep all my bookmarks in sync, that's all I need, I don't want passwords and cookies transferred to my different computers so id really doesn't matter to me.

Those are COUGARS, not mountain lions. Still every-bit man-eaters, though. One got ahold of me one time when I was out at this bar and I had to give up the leg to get out alive. Cougars ARE mountain lions, also sometimes called pumas, or panthers. It's all the same animal.

how did this get flamebait moderated?! It's obviously a joke
I hope you're being sarcastic, because Midori is just a feminine Japanese name meaning green.

I whole heartedly agree.
Yeah, but I don't think Google would sue you over said logs, unlike Viacom.
