Microsoft has gotten where it is by being good at business, and being good at business does not consist of pushing a dying platform that it has no vested interested in.
So now they just push a dying os that they have a vested interest in?
Like we have ever experienced a phone free from carrier locks in the states... The only other national GSM provider is T-Mobile anyway.
Features like visual voicemail require carrier support, there's no way they would unleash the phone upon the smaller regional utilities and suffer the customer backlash when that feature didn't work.
The little blue dot follows me while I drive. If you can't infer the directions based on that dot combined with periodically pulling over and recalculating the route once you get lost, perhaps there are bigger problems afoot with your nav skills.
The only thing that ACID does is encourage browsers to pass the ACID test. It does barely anything to encourage them to uniformly and accurately implement proper standards.
Unless Washington has some crazy new political system, a bill honoring them would need to pass through both chambers. Yes, obviously the house and senate have both honored them.
I don't see what Vista has to do with this, but I disagree with your MasterCard statement. I couldn't get it to run on my legacy kit so I had to install Diners Club.
I do not want flash or java on my mobile. I don't even want them on my computer and my userbase doesn't have java until they request it. I don't have a business reason to support java (unfortunately some sales reps sell flash banner ads), and both have continual app updates which bothers my helpdesk because we have tried to instill into them not to install stuff without our permission. But a java or flash update every 2 weeks? It gets annoying.
Bad examples? Are you saying that there are independent cable networks that are successful? The ones that people remove from their custom channel guide listing because nothing on them is interesting?
I would welcome this... It really sucks to turn on your tv in the morning while not paying attention and it is still on Cartoon Network from the night before.
Easier than training them to use Office 07. All my younger new hires get OOo and they work fine with it once they realize possible hangups over file formats.
You would never use a feature that downloads voicemail to your phone as data and let you pick and choose which to listen to? Sheesh... continue on.

If you are going to be a serious contender in the commenting on an iPhone article, at least spell the name of the device correctly.

USB mass storage support
So basically Air Sharing?
Tethering
So basically bring back NetShare?
Consumerist reported this on Feb 24th...

hey, i like my 360 sounding like a boeing when i boot it.
Fedora? Where do you get that? It's Red Hat/CentOS based.

I've never heard of querty, but the on screen qwerty keyboard on an iphone isn't difficult to use at all.
Yeah, I'm a little confused as to why a self-help archive needs to run an ftp.
when it bloats even more

p.s. I *definitely* don't want a phone shaped like hello kitty.
What if it had ponies?
Developing for your phone broke the speaker?
That's a big problem with the API and I would contact Apple... unless you subverted their restrictions and broke it yourself.

Why doesn't everyone just say express numerical dates as 2009-02-26? (I was going to use your dates, but the duplicate 02 didn't illustrate my point).
This is spot on. Cable networks like USA, TBS, TNT, FX, etc never come up with original programming series or movies.
They just don't have the budget for Monk, Psych, My Boys, 10 Items or Less, Closer, Saving Grace, Nip/Tuck, Sons of Anarchy, It's Always Sunny....
And that's just off the top of my head, I'm sure I omitted many and I seriously doubt their production costs are less than that of animation.

Queue some crazy kid's cartoon
As long as the animation wasn't for a struck company.

But who knows what OMGRU means?
