if the system has a valid Win7 key, you don't need to use a pirated copy. Just grab a legal set of ISO's from Digital River with SP1 included and go from there. Yep, MS got smart on Win7 and allow you to activate by simply changing the product key during activation so any media can be used to install and if you do grab the images, you only need the 32 and 64 bit ones along with the MS USB/DVD Download Tool to place em on a flash drive. Once their, strip the god damn ei.cfg file and you now have a menu for Basic, Premium, Pro and Ultimate. Easy and done.
and this is why I have Noscript in Deny All Mode be default. Forget the damn adblocker as blocking scripts is how you do it. I also use a Hosts file * Thanks APK for the reminder * to block most of the god damn advertisers around the world.

Hell if we can use enough of the free carbon, we can cool the earth and gain quite a bit of arable land back from the oceans plus with a quad set of Elevators and a connecting ring, we could move most if not all of our farming to orbit. Facebook! I was getting notice about posts to my wall for several weeks before I reset the PW (never signed up before then). Think Facebook spammed me enough to get me to actually sign-up except I didn't sign up other then to change the profile and reset the pw. Worked quite well as I have never gave em any information and I now block all facebook crap in my Hosts file with anything from facebook going right into the trash for my gmail account.

Sure we don't agree with many of the conclusions but after some in depth reading over the years, it's as reasonable of a science as most of Astronomy in general as most of that involves simply sky watching/searching (makes it open to hobbyists). Astrology though reguires a pretty high degree of compentcy in Math through Algebra. Sure there is software to ease the burden along with calculators designed/programmend with common algorythms but you still have to have a decent math background to even use the tools as most Astrologers don't believe in simply plugging shit into a computer and getting an answer w/o effort.

Very valid point about the boot speed obsession. If I'm running Linux, I simply don't give a damn about boot speed because I don't have to boot but once a year. If WIndows didn't push out updates every fucking month (nor require them) I'd not have to reboot but when the power goes out for more then a couple of hours as my battery backup offers 3+ hours of standby time when system goes into S5 mode.
One of the damn reasons I don't like SystemD is the monolithic design. Simply put, the fucking idiots are pushing a Windows style boot instead of a minimal boot that SystemV-init followed. Totally against the KISS principles.

Most ARM fans keep repeating the same fucking mantra - It uses less power then x86. Bullshit. It's not just the CPU that results in power demand for mobile systems (Tablets, phones and what not) it's the GPU, Screen, disk and all the other parts that go into the thing and Intel has finally paid enough attention to overall power budget that they're actually beating most of the ARM based SoC's out there in both power savings and performance.
Look at the power demand of the Nvidia Tegra SoC's. Tegra3 was decent but limited GPU performance. Tegra 4 though blows through a batter like Richard Pryor did with hookers and Coke.
Even Qualcomm's Snapdragon SoC doesn't do any better as the GPU blows the power budget. Intel's Atom CPU's are competitive with ARM in performance and power budget. What screwed them was the fucking north bridge and GPU. That actually used more power then the CPU did yet they've fixed that with the latest Atom's due to a new SoC design focused on Power savings and yes I've used an early Atom Netbook - painful even with XP on it. The new ones are pretty decent now.
yet, any god damn thread that hogs a CPU still locks the entire god damn UI of Firefox because it's not multi-thread capable. Fix the fucking UI and other bugs that sill haven't been fixed insted of trying to keep up with Googles insane numbering.

As to stuff like the FDIC, it's not me that pays for that nor does my financial institution have to carry it (they're not a bank but a credit union). As to things like tax credits, energy conservation efforts, law enforcement and such are paid for by property taxes. Road and Transportation taxes are a combination of tax on Fuel and commercial vehicles along with Vehicle Registration Fees, that do not impact me on a regular basis as I don't buy fuel nor do I own a vehicle that requires a license plate.

Even MS Office can not guarantee 100% compatibility with other versions of MS Office Documents. This is especially important to know if you are more then 2 generations behind (Office 2010) is the break point. I've had issues with docs from Office 2003 being screwed up by 2010 and those are local to my system. So if I have problems with formats from 2 generations before (office 2007 doesn't give me problems) then how in hell can you ensure that your latest Office 365 hasn't been updated to actually corrupt anything other then the latest version of Office-xxxx? This is how MS locks you into using the fucking products.
