./configure options of Seamonkey support "--disable-composer" option so it should be possible to build Seamonkey without the composer. Not sure why they never made an option for it, except for it being a suite. I haven't tried it. I've used composer to build my entire website. Admittedly, I like chewing razor blades too. I try to get all my friends to use Seamonkey and Noscript. They don't like the name.
