  1. What can be said.. on FEMA Sorry for Faking News Briefing · · Score: 1

I am absolutely blown away by this. The level of stupidity and incompetence necessary to even attempt something so deceptive is...disturbing. Welcome to Bush's world I guess, we should have a national holiday commemorating the death of the United States.

  2. Wii Disagrii on Wii 'Popularity Bubble' to Burst? · · Score: 1

I have never enjoyed console gaming much until my brother bought this Wii for my house, I was really surprised at just how much I enjoy playing it. I guess one of the things I really like about it is how its designed for more than just gaming with the web browsing and all that built in and easy to use. And while I understand the concerns raised by one poster about how those controls would be difficult for someone with certain disabilities I just do not see how its relevant. If you have physical disabilities (as I have) there are certain limitations you have to face in life and there will be things or products that simply are not the best choice for you. Wii's entire marketing was based around the 'physicality' of the controllers, how could anyone have bought this without being aware of the physical requirements to fully enjoy it. In the end, pick the product that fits your needs.

Heh I have to agree, slashdot is great for tidbits of information but useless for any kind of actual discussion.

  4. Sounds Good on ACLU Protests Police Scanning License Plates · · Score: 1

I do not see the problem the ACLU has. Somehow its different than an officer radioing in a plate #? Seems like an efficient and effective way to achieve enforcement. If someone's child got murdered and the police came to see if I had seen anything because my plate was scanned in that area earlier, I would have no problem with it. In addition, when you or your vehicle is in public you have no expectation of privacy....now if this scanner could see through your garage door then I would have a problem with it.

  5. Re:they are harmless! on AC = Domestic Terrorists? · · Score: 2, Interesting

Every single thing you said in this post are assumptions. You stated absolutely nothing that is factual unless of course you are actually a part of this group. While I admit they are probably are a bunch of social rejects the problem is you only have to be wrong once, and as soon as some innocent person actually dies people like you miraculously just fade into the shadows. As the old adage says, "Its only funny until someone gets hurt"

  6. Extreme Disappointment on AC = Domestic Terrorists? · · Score: 2, Interesting

I have to say I am incredibly disappointed in this post and some of the responses. This group is sending death threats and threatening to blow up stadiums, if that is not the definition of 'terrorism' then I cannot imagine what is. I am suspicious of the motives of those who would defend a group like this.
