Well wouldn't this assume the teacher was on the clock or at work creating these lesson plans? When I worked at IBM I wrote a database system and I did it on my own time at home and let them use it. When I left I took it with me and my boss said hey that is intellectual property. I told him I did not write this at work I wrote it at night at my house therefore it is my property. Most teachers I know work on lesson plans during the summer at home. In most cases I'm sure they could claim to have and put the burden of proof on the school.
You may have a point but, seeing as how Taiwan is very heavy into gaming I think it makes perfect sense geeks would be buying XP. Many of them probably are dual booting as well.
So if they don't like how I am living my life and yet I never break any laws they can still put me in prison.. Whew and I thought I had something to worry about for a second there.
This is messed up.. They should have charged her with manslaughter or something. I'm sure they could have found something better.
Funny just last night I went to Fox's site and the large advertisement on the main page is a site to buy Tshirts and stuff supporting the 2nd admendment and bashing liberals. Fox may have greater ratings but at least CNN is trying to be a news agency and not a republican propoganda machine (not so cleverly) disguised as news. It's like your saying American Idol would be offended to be compared to CNN because they have greater ratings. I feel a news agency shouldn't be blatantly biased especially when the party it represents complains that news is biased. I'm still waiting for all my conservative friends to show me their evidence, been waiting more than 8 years now for it.
Obviously there is his world and then there is the real world and he is dedicated to change. I say good luck with that. To bad know one seems to have gotten the your joke about staying on one page. I thought it was clever.
What country are you from again talking about US workers having a lazy working ethics? When I was in Europe most people had less than 40 hour work weeks, got 4 weeks of vacation, and sick time. Here in the US my friends are very lucky if they get 2 weeks vacation and my sick days are part of that. I typically work 50-80 hours every week with no comp time as do my fellow employees. The only people I know who work harder than Americans are certain asian countries like Japan. Or third world nations were people are basically reduced to slaves.
Yeah well I've done that 1000 times and it sucks having to do it on a weekly basis, but I have much worse problems. You see my company has a VL (Volume License) so we are legit. However old IT people would use any number they could find to install Windows on machines. Now that M$ has put out these updates their machines constantly annoy them. The only solution is to reinstall the entire OS because their are different version and I can't just change them over to a VL Key. For those of us having legit software and actually having to deal with this problem it sucks worse than you can imagine.
My guess is the guy probably new nothing of Unix and only knew Windows. Therefore Windows for him would be much easier to hack than trying to learn Unix. Good ole security through obscurity.
I have had my Macbook Pro for several months as have some of my coworkers. The one thing we all agree we love about our notebooks is the lack of problems. I've been using computers since 81, Dos/Windows PC's since 86 and coding for Linux since 94. I didn't really want a Mac, but I had to support Windows, Linux and Mac while constantly traveling. The Macbook was the best solution. I'm running XP and Linux virtually with Parallels and both work great for system adminstration and testing code.
What amazes me is how much attention from the media and computer people these "problems" get. My Macbook did run slightly warm until the SMC update which fixed that. The whine people talk about isn't noticable if I set the notebook next to any desktop or old PC laptop I have. Also the whine typically last for 5 minutes in the morning when I boot. I use the notbook so much now that I put it to sleep and don't shutdown which means no whine. As for discoloration I've used mine everyday for two months and it looks brand new. Searching the net I've only found two cases so far of this.
When using Windows your entire OS seems to slow down. You have a constant barrage of spyware and crap attempting to install. When you uninstall a program you wonder how many pieces are left over and what the effects will be. I mean with Windows I just came to expect problems ever since I started using version 3.0. I'd say that I have had way less problems with the Macbook than any other laptop I've ever owned (at least 10 Inspirons and Vaios). After fixing heavy Dell laptops for clients I've come to hate them and their tech support and yet they are still one of the best PC hardware companies out there. I've had even worse times dealing with Toshiba and Sony.
People just expect everything to be perfect on Mac and any conceivable problem is major news in the industry. To me that says so much about how good the product really is. I always made fun of Mac in the past because before OSX and Intel they had huge roadblocks that kept me from using them. Even though I didn't really want to use one or support it now I don't think I can go back to using Windows or Linux for my client desktop. I will say for servers though Unix is still the only option for me. I believe in the right tool for the job. At this point Windows only use is for my clients who don't think they can live without it yet constantly cry for help. My Mac and Linux users very rarely ask for any help only the Linux guys are all developers.
Please elaborate your argument to justify them living at work and working 15 hours a day. I used to do construction and anyone in labor working 15 hours a day should be making a rather huge salary IMO. This sounds extremely close to slavery in my mind.
I worked for an on-site PC repair company and I would add that Norton causes more problems than spyware. I would go on more calls where PC's ran like crap because Norton products needed to be reinstalled than spyware cleanup calls. All I can say is thanks Norton for helping me pay my rent.
I missed the part where he advertised breaking the law. If you were referring to him drinking we don't know that he didn't have his parents permission which would be legal. His parents might be big dumbasses which would explain everything.
Not to mention if they released an OS without lots of bugs, pigs might fly, hell could freeze over, or we might all find ourselves in some alternate universe.
I tried to beta test software and I found bugs in it, and this was Microsoft software!!! Can you believe it??? I bet this would make a great news story.

The other thing they have in common is on blackboxvoting.com where it says yes this is real.

How much hardware can you go buy to upgrade it that OSX would support? I mean besides things Apple sells.
Except in this case the rocks sink slow and the beachballs drop like a rock.
-Please don't take this comment seriously.

No actually their primary revenue stream would change overnight.
And considering Bill Gates was or is the richest man in the world I'd say selling the OS might be a nice primary revenue stream.

Yes but it is essentially a VCR. There is no program guide and you have to manually record everything.

There are plenty of happy people on the internet. They call them lurkers.
You lost me when you said the price of Arcane crystals wil hit a new bottom. If there was inflation wouldn't the price of them be going up?
I'm confused. Where you refering to slashdot readers or Bill Gates?

This is not a private school where anything goes. When the government owns the school they should be respecting the constitution IMO.
4. Microsoft admits their products are only suitable for dogs and not for human consumption?
