All programs on the as400 are still read in from a virtual puch card reader. Just as all output from programs on said machines goes out to virtual printers (even the display of gui apps)
So, it sounds like they are saying that a link to an image falls under the same copywrite as the image itself. Which would mean that you cant 'use' a link to an image without permission any more then you could 'use' the image itself without permission. I'm not sure that I like this becuase I'm sure that this could be used to stop hyperlinking without permission which would suck.
How about a technical book of the month thingy.
Every month you would get a book in the mail. No glitz, and light on the refinement. But on a totally modern topic. A topic that is new enough that there aren't 10 book out already about it. They wouldn't be too long or short, somthing on the 100-200 page length. The topics could be a little more specific and even a little more technical then you might see in a regular consumer-computer book.
Ideas for the book are easy to come up with. Just find some new free product that has popular interest but too little documentation, hire the author to pump out some documentation at an accelerated rate. Peer-review, edit, print, mail.

Well, I used to work at the Corners of the Mouth. There is no place in the world that atracts more of these typs there the Corners of the Mouth. (Actual address: Big Red Church, ukiah st, mendocino, ca)
Mendo has always been a magnet for nut jobs. I remember once when I was in class (yes at that very high school) this group of people from Santa Fe burst into the classroom dressed up as aliens preaching some sort of new age alien love bullshit. Our teacher let them go on for a bit then asked them to leave. It turned out that they were affiliated with the Universal Life Church and all as crazy as it gets.
So I guess that the only thing that makes this story of stoned burnouts ranting on the sidewalk in front of The Mendocino Bakery new is that this time they are ranting about "wireless technology".
With the price of CPUs being what they are, why would anyone overclock? If you motherboard can handle it, just spend the $67 and buy a faster CPU.
Once before, you could buy a $200 celeron and make it run as fast as a $800 pIII. There was really something to be had there. What are you going to do today, make a $60 CPU run as fast as an $80 CPU? What's the point? Why don't you just get the $80 CPU? I'm sure your mom will give you the extra $20.
I'm not kernel hacker, but this seams like a good opertunity to implement a pluggable vm archetecture. This would allow this debate to become moot, as well as allowing folks to load vm's that were talored for their specific work loads.
Well, I think that it's clear that you are hiding something. Why would you even consider the question unless you are doing something wrong? Now you ask us to rationalize your avoidance of your own guilt. I never knowingly commit any crimes. I never possess any illegal contraband. I'm an upstanding patriot, and I'm happy to let anyone who cares see that I've got nothing to hide. Why don't reveal you real agenda and tell us what you are hiding in you bag at work. Or, better yet, why don't you just walk down to the nearest police station and turn yourself in.
Any 3 independant lines in two space are bound to meet? What exactally is this "two space" that makes these things true for it when they would not be true in two dimential space?

Say less and with more accuracy.

Maybe that explains why I'm so fucked up!

Methane gas, not gasoline!

I think that samba is conciderd more Linux of linux software because it's anti-windows. PostgreSQL is usefull on windows, so it's just an upgrade.

This is a good time to call or write your congresmen and give them an intelegent opinion about the DCMA.
Although some of us had allready guessed his true nature.
If you don't know who the but of a joke is, then it's you.
