One of the best suggestions is to block all compressed attachments that do not meet a specific naming convention (like PXF_file.zip). We started doing this recently and it takes care of all 0-day attachment virii... unless they happen to use our naming scheme..

They'd most likely be vandalized, or stolen and put on ebay. Laws aside, something like this wouldn't work in the US because of how disrespectful most people here are. They'd see one of these on the way home from picking up their welfare cheese and insert a few slices into the unit to be copied. Not only are the majority of americans disrespectful, but a large majority of them aren't the sharpest spoons in the drawer. Besides, I don't think many Americans could figure out how to use the things in the first place. We all know what happened to cigarette machines (damn do I miss these). Enough US bashing, I'll go back to my state job of being on IRC.

Since when did you guys let Katz do movie reviews? Not only is this not stuff that matters, but it was reviewed by someone who doesn't matter. I thought that Katz skill (or lack there of) was reserved for techno-buzzword crap where he can ramble mindlessly for 8 paragraphs about stuff he has no clue about. It's clearly obvious he did not watch this movie as his review was limited to only 4 paragraphs.

Wireless was never meant to be secure. It's a thing where convenience. Lazy Bones Jr. doesn't have to get his fat ass off the sofa to check out his porn sites. Which also means that his 12 year old neighbor with a few empty pringles cans can, with little effort, get Mr. Bones porn passwords. So now instead of it taking 10 minutes for little Johnny to figure out Bones' WEP key. Oh wait, Mr. Bones forgot to patch all his wireless stuff, and woops, Mr. Bones didn't even bother turning on WEP to begin with, so little Johnny is spanking away in no time. Wireless is not secure, WEP doesn't really help out in most cases. Wireless always has been, and always will be a convenience vs. security issue.
