actually, last time i went to a movie, i do not remember any warning against bringing in recording devices. I will have to double check to see if there is a sign or if it's on the back of a ticket stub or anything, but "plenty of warning" should be more than something in fine print on the back of a ticket stub.

I disagree parent is offtopic. Other than the "What are Sony's lawyers going to patent next" the rest of the information is actually relevent. Seeing as sony is being sued over a multiprocessor, a citation of previous work is actually very important information. I think xmas just got confused who was suing who.

wow...ignoring the patent part which everyone else will address, i would suggest this to the company if they somehow won this suit. Instead of just "Impounding and destorying" every infringing chip, wouldn't it make more sense just to ask for a "cease and desist" order for the PS3 and all related services? That way it won't require trying to track down half a million PS3 users, and can target people planning to make money off of the patent leak.

Then if it is within an acceptable margin of error, have a few parts of video which it will look for, also within a margin of error. The margin of error can be quite large actually to account for missing frames, changes in formats, etc. based on more data they decide to use to judge by.

as a person commuting from Providence into South Station via the MBTA, i couldn't agree more. On a train which leave's a 6:07 am, all the seats are filled most days before we pull in, and on average there are 7 - 10 double decker cars on the train, with 5 seats in around 20 rows on each floor of the train...so, around 200 people per car, so 1-2000 people per train going into south station, from providence at 6:07 AM...and now back again when their work day ends. There are also 5 trains leaving from providence at various times in the morning which are the "morning" commute trains. Not to mention the other train routes into south station. So i would say we could be worse for "getting american's out of their cars"

After experimenting, voldermort figures out how to put that wanding bit of soul into a new body using harry's blood. He still thinks there are 6 pieces of his soul (1 in his body, 5 in various objects) but want to make it 7 since 7 is a magically powerful number. Therefore he quickly makes the snake as an added safeguard.

"Oh he's been Imperiused" would set it off. Or "the Avada Kadavra Curse is one of the 3 unforgivable curses" would also. It's just not practacle.
