Sorry if you already explained it elsewhere, but there is something I don't understand.
What I don't understand is this: how can you stop the voting machine from adding fake votes? Let's say I voted and asked for no coercion receipts. And then, automatically, the machine creates a fake coercion entry, but rather than adding 1 to each candidate, adds n votes to candidate-who-happens-to-be-a-friend-of-machine-creator and zero to the others (and also creates one coercion entry). In this case I will check with my only receipt and it will be ok (my vote will be validated). But I cannot check that no other vote has been done in my name...
However over the past half hour the work units available have been *increasing*. Currently 12,000 and increasing. Clearly they are adding more to be done faster than we're doing them.
Or, more probably, it's due to a bug and the program cannot handle negative numbers properly. So they are displayed as if they were positive but are still actually "decreasing", and they are (-24000) HITs left.
What do you have against plain text? What is the use of having an html page generated, and then having to parse the page to analyze the tags and get the relevant part when you can have it directly in plain text?
Unfortunately, archive.org does not list the page you are referring to before 2006. I am not implying that you are lying, just that it takes more than a page saying "today is such date" to actually prove that it was written on this date.
Hey! I had a similar idea for my account name, except I created it before you did :)
Clearly, you don't speak European.
(otherwise you would have called it a lift)

More probably because of the people who chose to use this crap.
