Game the system. In tech it's pretty easy to find a good full time job where you really work less than half the time, if that.
Already over 60 and on a busy week I work maybe 20 hrs.
I could keep this up until I'm 75 or so and probably will. Then I'll be the Walmart greeter with the Aston Martin in the lot;)
I said this very thing back in 2015.
I bet 10, no... $20US that we Terraform Mars in the next thousand years or so.
We need to spread our wings and get of this rock, and leap-frog to the next rock.
In many ways I support these hacked / stolen electronic documents, however, they are not hard evidence. The data can easily be manipulated, even just a bit, to give whatever slant is desired. In concert with other evidence, hacked documents can be persuasive, but by themselves, not much above hearsay.
It's my understanding that many Republicans inside the beltline are open to the idea of UBI due in large part to all the overhead the dizzying array of social programs. All those departments, and their associated costs, legislation, etc. all go away. They look at all that savings. No more forms, case reviewers, appeals, etc.
I think she was about 15 yo when this was assigned as homework in public school (in N Carolina, USA). She's from an affluent household and always said, I'll never have kids. After? Now she is looking forward to having children, someday. She's a Sr in H.S. now and picking her universities for next year. An all around great young lady.
This was my Mantra even before I was married, 30+ years ago. Take holidays. My wife has this Disney-esque image of how it will be. Mine is more like a bad, indie short. I am never disappointed or surprised.
Not to pick on this post, or AC, but are their any Communist countries left? Even N Korea can't be called Communist in anything more than rhetoric. I guess you could call Cuba the last country that really tried to be Communist; or am I just ignorant?
It's also good planning, everything should be documented in a shared space or where someone has access to it. Employees can have accidents while going to lunch.
Isn't the Hubble past end-of-life? (per specs)
Simply amazing. The Hubble telescope is like my old Jeep. Old technology, not much to look at, lots of dented/squeaky bits, but it just keeps ticking without much maintenance.
What bothers me more is how the FAA didn't see this coming. Really?
Seems more like "we need to let all the lobbyist voice ($) their opinions so we know what regulations to make".

Atheist here. I believe in Jesus (as in there was a carpenter's son named Jesus about 2k years ago), just not in any religions or God. Happy Holidays!

A large comet or asteroid will likely be the game changer. For the truly paranoid there's always Zombies, AI and angry aliens thrown into the mix.
Most of these are corporations, and I don't know how you would make a corporation take a pee test.

I promise that my great-great grandchildren will be unable to obtain fossil fuels legally.

Drones could broadcast helicopter sounds.
Shorter span then the typewriter I believe. My dad had one up to the 1960's.

I believe next generation batteries will be able to charge much faster; a 5-10 minute full charge seems to be achievable.
First spaceship to Mars; one male captain and a crew of women!
Is that Curiosity? I can't tell if it's waving..or giving the finger?
I agree, not being an astrophysicists, but it just makes common sense.
Am I missing something? Won't NASA pay (Boeing, or whomever) for uplifts aboard the CST-100? Or is NASA buying CST-100's, like the next shuttle.

Another vote for this being the correct answer.
I thought it was a piece of comet that exploded over Siberia's Tunguska river in 1908 - I also thought it was common knowledge - go figure.
India Business Machines!
pfff I bet $20 we crack the 4th dimension in, say.. 500 million years. After that, none of this really matters.
