No. We thought, and other nations thought, he had weapons. He wasn't allowing inspectors unfettered access. So, what would you think was going on? That he didn't have any weapons and was just sick of being pestered by the UN inspectors? Or would you think he was hiding something? I would think you'd think the later. It's great to be able to look back and go "Yeah, looks like he didn't have any weapons", but at the time everyone thought that, and the intelligence pointed that way. Look at what John Kerry said at the time.
I have no idea why we didn't do anything. I would think it would have fallen upon the United Nations to act. And, of course, they failed to. As usual. The USA doesn't want to go into every country because we'd be accused, as we are in Iraq, of wanting to occupy it and make it "ours".
I think the UN doesn't work. They don't want to commit to any action. And they are corrupt. Look at this "Oil for Food" scandal unfolding.
Hey, I'm all for ending oppression (notice the 2 p's in it) in the world. However, no one seems to want to pay the price. And that price would be American's and others giving their lives. Then we can celebrate (no p in there, maybe that was for the opression?) and live long happy lives.
Oh please. Look, you have to get your head out of the sand ostrich-man. Saddam was a mass murderer. Look at how many graves they have uncovered. That right there is enough for me to condone what we did. That kind of stuff is just not something the 21st century should put up with.
Ah, you you know this how? When I read it, it looks like both Bush and Kerry didn't really write their own responses, but Bush's seem more likely to be written by him.
No. But if you want, you could get a Child Trailer and haul around your linux/mac/windows laptop with you. And after you've worked up a sweat, you can play a little Quake or Doom or whatever, and check your email;-)
I agree. 4 months in Vietnam and he's a war hero. Look at his Senate record. Seriously, it's scary.
People like John McCain, who is a real hero, don't go around making an issue of Vietnam. That right there was a huge turn off for me. It looks like he was looking for an out of Vietnam, and then proceeded to do his first of many flip-flops.
I don't agree with Bush on a lot of things, but I do admire his resolve. I believe Democracy is a better solution than leaving a dictator in power.
Troll. Midi labs, which Macs are used in, are never free. I see at my local community college the labs are constantly packed. When would they have time to do SETI or Folding???
I don't treat my stuff bad. The USB Flash drive I have/had simply stopped working with my computers. One computer would see it, mount it, and I could copy files to it. The other couldn't see it as a drive and wanted to format it. Reformatting the USB Drive on either computer didn't do anything.
I use my iPod now. It has a very protective case. And when I transfer files, I can do it via Firewire which is a little faster (3 minutes, probably 2x that time if it was a USB device).
Thank you. Some rational thought happening on Slashdot for a change!
Thank you. Some sanity on Slashdot!
I hear the weather in North Korea is great around Christmas. Perhaps Christmas 2005. By then we can book some hotels, I mean palaces to stay in....
Go drink some more Kool-aid.

Thank you! That is exactly how I feel!
You know how sheep vote? Hmmmm......
Yeah. Seems to be a trend here. Is for something, then against. Where is his core?
Wish Nader was taken more seriously.....
Yeah, I thought that about Kerry's arguements as well....
Ouch. But then again, who doesn't misspell or misspeak? ;-)
Go back to having some koolaide.
I think Bush's answers were more thought out than Kerry's. Amazing.......And everyone says Kerry is the long winded one......

A mountain bike with it's wider tires might be better.....
Something like a Trek or Cannondale.

Yeah, seriously. Slashdot is getting pretty lame with their "politics".
And wasn't Mr. John Flip-flop Kerry an advocate of disarming Iraq? And he saw the same intelligence as well.
Like I said, not a ton of new features. Cross Fade and Tempo/Key Adjustments are about the only things I'd use......

It will be interesting to see how MOTU is going to respond with DP5 ;-)
If you do a search on "Voronja Cave" you'll find some links to pictures and history of this cave. Very interesting stuff!
