Anyway, what I was trying to say is, the original phrase is "Zankoku na tenshi no teeze" (literally, 'the thesis (possibly dogma would be a better translation in this context) of a cruel angel'). Don't know where they got the 'bleeds' from though... although I don't remember all the lyrics.
No, the reason Xbox is not doing well in Japan is because Microsoft SCREWED UP.
When the 'dosc grinder' problem came to light, MS's manner of handling it sucked. They:
1) Denied that there was any problem with the Xbox. 2) Then said that the grinder problem was a 'natural effect' of friction in the Xbox. 3) Then said that only a very few users had experienced any problems. 4) Then said that they would not accept requests for repair. 5) Then said that they would accept requests for repair. 6) Then they admitted they still did not know what the problem was. 7) Then said they would assess whether or not any particular Xbox qualified for repair only after they received it. 8) Then said that they would not announce any way to determine whether or not your Xbox had the problem, as this would lead to people 'damaging their Xbox deliberately and sending it in for repair in order to inconvenience Microsoft'.
Comsidering that MS said before the launch that they knew the Japanese market was very sensitive to quality problems, their handling of the situation has been shockingly bad. No wonder it's not selling.
'Not-for-profit' is a very thin line to walk, especially when it could be argued that the person downloading the music is actually profiting thereby. I agree with not-for-profit usage of trademarks, etc., but downloading music and redistributing it isn't really the same thing. You're getting something for nothing, no matter what way you look at it.
Yadda yadda yadda... I know the legal difference between copyright infringement and theft, thank you very much. I'm talking about the moral implications of what he was saying.
But you sound like the type who would make a good lawyer, so you probably don't know the meaning of the word 'moral'.
You buy music after checking it out on a P2P network, right? I'm fine with that. I do it myself. The original poster said that he has 15GB of music, of which less than one-fifth was actually bought and paid for. That's just being dishonest.
Unless I completely misunderstood you and your argument is actually that copying music and giving nothing at all to the artist is morally better than buying the music and giving something (admittedly, a small amount) to the artist. In which case, you're deluding yourself.

Just like to mention that in Japan, the now well-known 'disc grinder' problem resulted in the following reaction from Microsoft:
1) Denied that there was any problem with the Xbox. 2) Then said that the grinder problem was a 'natural effect' of friction in the Xbox. 3) Then said that only a very few users had experienced any problems. 4) Then said that they would accept requests for repair 5) Then they admitted they still did not know what the problem was. 6) Then said they would assess whether or not any particular Xbox qualified for repair only after they received it. 7) Then said that they would not announce any way to determine whether or not your Xbox had the problem, as this would lead to people 'damaging their Xbox deliberately and sending it in for repair in order to inconvenience Microsoft'.
I use Sawfish too. I bound Alt-1 to Alt-9 to nine workspaces. If I want to move a window between workspaces, I just use the functions that the standard ws-send-to.jl provides. One thing to remember is that you should name your workspaces in order to fully use the 'Send to workspace...' functions.
Funny, Japanese fans feel much the same way about this news, if the comments on discussion boards here in Japan are anything to go by. Also, there's a lot of speculation about the casting.
"Hmmm... is there a Hollywood actor that's green, has regrowable arms and reproduces by vomiting giant eggs?"
I'd kill for the 'snapshot tabs' functionality - it always irritates me how I have to open a bunch of tabs with my regular websites when I'm starting Mozilla.
Heh. Didn't know about that one... since it's in 0.9.9, I presume it's also in recent nightlies, right? (I'm currently using 2002030x-ish.) I'll have to give it a try when I get home.
Not what I'd call a realistic alternative...
Arrgh, /. doesn't deal with Japanese very well.

Well... "
You know what really pisses me off? That box set retails for what, $US140 or so?
It costs $50 per DVD here in Japan for the series, and they don't offer a boxed set. Fuckers.
Check out the page on that site that says who the RIAA aren't. Now click on the link in the top paragraph.
I find the fact that the link 404s to be ironic...
Hate to tell you, but Onimusha 2 is already out for the PS2...
Argh... that should be 'disc> grinder'.

Yeah, yeah... 'I download music for free, I'm not a sheep.' Heard it before, still bullshit.

Oh, very funny. Like you really misunderstood my comment... sure.
You people make me laugh. You go ahead and copy all the music you want, and then try and make out that you're some sort of crusader for the artists.
Bullshit.
I put you right in the same group as the RIAA - out for what you can get. Come back when you get a clue about the real world, kid.

Jeez...

Maybe you should see this...

And this is *good* customer support?!

GPS can be accurate to around 10cm when using differential GPS (http://gipsy.jpl.nasa.gov/igdg/.
Gail (Gyle, Gile, whatever, I don't know the English translation), although portrayed by Van Damme, was an American character.

No problem. I only found the tab movement ones by accident, actually ;)
