Over time the children grew to treat the robot as one of them -- playing games with the robot, hugging it, and covering it up with a blanket when its batteries ran down.
As a kid, I don't recall covering my friends with blankets when their batteries ran down.
Of course there's no proof left. There never will be. Why should there be? Religion is a question of faith. If people want to believe in God, fine. It's not like the scientific method proves anything but "well, this looks like it covers what we've seen happen so far" either.
Guessing wildly here, but wouldn't a hardware keylogger calling home be as simple as running a wire from the logging component of the keyboard to Big Bro^H^H^H^H^H^H^Hthe Government?
Is this quite fair? Of course, he has broken the law, so he should be punished in some way. Still, I mean, this guy is being forced (okay, he doesn't have to use a computer, but still) to use Windows, which gives Microsoft an advantage over other companies like Apple. Is this legal/fair/taxable in the USA?
Why are people complaining about this? It's not like the normal documentation was eaten by a Grue. Like it or not, some people learn better by playing. If this helps people learn at all, it's a good thing. Those of you afraid of the grues can have your documentation and read it anyway.
From TFA:
"This bill would grant the attorney general the ability to wiretap anybody, any place, any time without court review, without any checks and balances," said Rep. Zoe Lofgren, D-Calif., during the debate preceding the vote. From your post:
Instead of omitting the parts that you don't like, be honest and include them.
Well, he'd need more lumber for that, right?
...oh, so THEY are the bad guys, you mean?
...a "NINJA Act" is on the way.
(...)or is it just at that fat people don't plain die as much as skinny people?
Actually, only about 5 of 7 overweight people die. The rest go on to live long (!), happy lives.

Well, they could just cover the drawing in asterisks.

Blame Canada, then?
You probably didn't have one before, you obviously didn't have one during it, so there's no reason to hope for a life after WoW.
It's kdawson. Obviously, he was too busy approving stories to properly categorize them. I mean, look at the front page.
I think you missed both Mario and Pokemon.

Well, I, for one, welcome our new, tailored, microscopic overlords.
If you use 2K3, you have no friends.

Both.
Are you mad? A three mile deep well would go straight through our dear, flat earth! How is that enviromentally friendly?
Stuff like this really gives me the impression that USA, involuntarily or not, acts like some sort of sandbox for the rest of the world.
