    Flash drives however are passive devices and are immune to short circuits if not connected to power.

    Maybe if we moved to a loser-pays system the courts would stop getting spammed with frivolous suits.

    The EFF could probably step in no trouble and not run its bank account dry if it defends them and gets reimbursed by the egg-faced plaintiffs.

    Particularly since by suing dead people and old grandmothers, and even scoring a default judgement against someone while they were in the hospital, they prove they don't really care if they get it right or not.

    I don't vote for Democrats.

    I vote against Republicans.

    I'd rather my vote be counted as a -1 Republican instead of a +1 Democrat though, then maybe mr. Independent could win by default if both parties suck.

    If you do a bad job, you usually get fired.

    In the case of a politician it would usually mean a recall election. Not at the federal level.

    All that's left up there once the politician's butts are in the seats is impeachment, and if the only guys who can impeach you are already feeding out of the same corporate trough you are...you've got it made.

    Pushing an update out on April 1st might be a good way to hold off suspicion long enough to let the update come sneaking down on everyone, so that by the time they realize it's serious their machines have already been pwned.

    I think drunk driving should be a felony for a first offense.

    Confiscate the car and put them in prison for a couple years.

    Strong deterrence against drunk driving, and ultimately more merciful for a would-be DUI offender who, by being so deterred, is less likely to have to eat a much bigger manslaugter/vehicular homicide charge if/when he winds up actually killing someone.

    Some might say you're life would be ruined if you had your car taken away and that it's cruel. I, however, counter with the fact that by getting drunk and then getting behind the wheel, you're putting people in danger.

    Safety trumps livelihood any day in my book.
