And to wingnuts, what you or I would consider liberal is ultra-liberal. SRSLY. On NPR the other day, they were interviewing members of some Baptist church or another (in Texas?) about whom they would vote for for President, and one of them referred to McCain as liberal and Obama as ultra-liberal.
You say that, but what would your reaction be when a liberal justice is attacked by wingnuts for not adhering to/their/ idea of what is Constitutional?
I've asked "conservatives" about why they think it's OK to imprison people indefinitely without charging or trying them, and they usually fall back on BS excuses like "the Constitution doesn't apply to non-citizens" (it does), "it shouldn't", or just changing the subject.
The Bush admin will resist this in other ways; admitting that they were wrong and changing their ways is not in the character of the president or his toadies.
I honestly think it's because he sees sucking up to his party and the "base" as the only way to get elected President. I too had a great deal of respect for McCain in '00, but that evaporated as soon as he started toadying up to the same "agents of intolerance" that he condemned in 2000.
I personally hope that if the Lords pass this abomination, then the Queen will refuse to give royal assent. I know it's never been done, and some think that to do so would bring an end to the monarchy, but it'd be a good way to go down in flames.
This is for aviation fuel, not automotive fuel. TFA specifically talks about this Swift Fuel replacing 100LL (low lead) in small piston-engined aircraft.
I expect that there is far less avgas consumed in the world versus mogas, so it's not like this is a magic solution for our energy needs.
I know we can't expect submitters or "editors" to RTFA, but furrfu.
Bush can be hanged once he's out of office, too. I wonder if there's any case law covering charging a retired official with crimes committed in office.
Cite? Most of the pickups and SUVs I see here in southwest Missouri are driven by people with white-collar jobs, Wal-Mart clerks, and so on.
I'll grant that those people you mention do in fact need hauling capabilities, but I dispute that they are the majority.

One of the reasons I got my Civic Hybrid was its crash survivability. I plan on passing on my genes, and I want my family to/survive/ a wreck. Except in cases where an SUV's inertia is overwhelming (like SUV hitting a Miata) I guarantee my car is better for surviving a wreck.
That said, I'm still worried about these selfish fucks with lift kits on their trucks and SUVs. Said kits place the truck's bumpers right at windshield level (or even higher in some cases) on a normal car, which spells instadeath for car pax. I don't understand why those damn things are legal.
Oh my, yes. I made/such/ a good investment when I bought my '05 Civic Hybrid new in April 2005, when fuel was only $2 per gallon. I've put almost 60 kilomiles on it.
My figures show that I save about $1500 per year from my old car on gas, and over 8 years I'd save about $12k, or over half the purchase price of this car.
Versus a more standard 30mpg car like a regular Civic it's not/quite/ as good, about $800/yr at current prices and ~$7000 over 8 years.
As fuel prices increase, so will my savings. Of course, in 8 years there will probably be even more-efficient cars that aren't itty bitty toys.
Psst, it's good manners on the Internet to use paragraphs. :-)
But... imagine a Beowulf of all those hard drives!
OK, I'll go shoot myself now.
Bullshit. Magnetic monopoles don't exist. Have you got a perpetual-motion machine stashed somewhere?
What do you shoot them with? I've got several hundred rounds of steel-core 7.62x54R and an old Mosin.
I've seen bumper stickers saying that the driver thought they'd never /miss/ Nixon.
I personally hope that Bush &c *are* tried as war criminals, by us. We don't need that blot on our national reputation.

Moral and physical cowards, the lot of them.

So that excuses all the distortions and outright lies of Faux News?
The fact is that you are a Republican stooge.
FWIW, I've read that Europeans buy oil in dollars, and most countries do as well.

Assuming you didn't starve, succumb to scurvy, or die of other causes during the voyage.

Good thing space exploration isn't in your hands, then.
