Maybe. Tell that to the next black to be lynched by the same people or others like them, though.
I'm not saying that nullification doesn't have its place--it does--but it's an extreme step that should be taken with extreme care, and its applicability must be limited.
The newer e-Ink Kindles are limited to only visiting Amazon and Wikipedia, IIRC. Don't have that limitation with the old keyboard versions or the Fire.
False dichotomy. The Southern example was born of endemic racism; the innocence of a white who killed a black was irrelevant, what was relevant was that blacks were killed for being black, and the guilty whites were found innocent because they had killed those who were regarded as subhuman.
I believe those were technically known as "grazing shots", as in they'd graze the ground and keep on going through the infantry at a great rate of knots.
You're wrong on Win95. 95 was a revelation when it was released; a much better user interface than 3.1 and preemptive multitasking, and more stable (given good drivers) than 3.1, plus built-in TCP/IP. Sucked that they didn't give OSR2 as a free upgrade (or indeed at all except to OEMs) so that we could have had FAT32 sooner.
98 sucked when it came out, so you're wrong there as well. 98SE was pretty awesome in its day, though.
Foxit has jumped the proverbial shark. It's too full of bloat these days; the installer for version 5 is something like twice as big as the one for v4.
Sumatra is the current favorite for not sucking, although I can't stand the color scheme.
It was meant as an example of just that sort of confusion. The American commander let the Japanese come right up to them, had all the advantages, then let the Japanese shoot first.
Heh, yeah, that's legit. We send a bunch of crap that most of the *staff* don't care about, let alone the students, bulk emails about Spanish Club, bake sales, and so on. From two different email systems, yet.
They also need school email addresses because Hotmail et al are liable to mark a university as a spammer if enough luser students decide to click the "mark as spam" button for university-sent emails. Happened to my university a few times before It Was Decreed that all students are required to have a Google Apps for Domains email account resolving to our domain.
I used to back when I switched from 98 to XP, but I got over it and no longer mind the colorful UI.
There's no reason to do such a thing in Win7, though, since Aero actually makes good use of eye candy and the UI's faster with 3D acceleration anyway.
This. This is probably the most sensible stance on jury nullification I've seen, that it should be part of institutionalized checks and balances.
Of course. But the benifit is worth the cost

...except that lone black juror's going to be intimidated into finding the perp innocent, lest he be next.
I see that you think so, but you're doing an inadequate job of stating /why/ you think so.

Wrong. It was the result of deep racial bias.
This. Employers are required to give you time off to go serve on a jury, but I don't believe they're required to pay you.
OTOH you had southern juries who'd refuse to convict people of murdering blacks back in the bad old days.
Things are never as simple as Internet Libertarians think they are.
2.5 might have been 2.1 with USB support. Don't remember exactly.
OSR1 was actually Win95a, which was a freely-downloadable patch that anyone could get. OSR2 (Win95b) was OEM-only, as was OSR 2.5 (Win95c).
OSR2 was probably the best release, in part because it was the last one without Internet Explorer built in.
Except I've used a NeXTstep type user interface (Window Maker) and it sucks rocks compared to Win95.
Did anybody ever blame the developers or the local governments for putting houses there?
It's kind of dumb to buy a house there, but I could see somebody not knowing just how loud an airliner can be.

See? All that time you spent writing a WALL OF TEXT could have been productively spent getting Warp Life finished.

You jest, but

Sounds like it was the brainchild of the "starve the beast" nutters, doesn't it?
But it's Constitutional. The founders. Wharrgarbl. /snark
One major character? Two.
