    looks like some of their other products have linux drivers, lets hope this does too

    Its it me or are they doing a pci card and another daughter slot for i/o, similar to the SB live and the extra optical i/o's. This is getting nutty, the PCI spec only allows for 7 rear slots so lets trace them asuming you's got a i815/Abit SE6 style chipset

    so now you have to chose between your scsi/firewire/UDMA133 (whenever it gets here)/other kick-ass/ card for that last spot, unless someone is making a MB with firewire ports built in, not just the headers.

    Yeah, but with the switch to coppermine/133Mhz FSB and fc-pga, knowing what you are buying in a PIII has gotten silly, as many companies on pricewatch don't specify ((FC-PGA|Slot 1) || (Coppermine|Katami)) on tehir price list, so you've got to dig through their site, generating ad revenue for them.

    maybe in your urban and suburban area, but i have copper running from my home to the exchange and then onto the CO lets see 3mi to the exchange house 22.5mi to CO ~25.5 mi copper between me and the isp modem pool (33.3kbs sustained, i really shouldn't bitch), and I'm nowhere near the house deepest in the boonies, its ~62 mi of copper from my aunt's to the CO, on a good clear day I can pull a 19200 conection, normally runs at 14.4 or slower.

    Has anyone ever calculated the year the Pluto/Neptune collision should occur based on their current orbits.

    Since they do not have the same period and the two ellipseoids cross at two points, its should be a matter of winding the clock up ...to the future, right

    Now getting the third body there for the collision would be damned near impossible, but i could conceive a planetary demolition derby being planned for the 2026 4th of July show

    since when does PICS stop your child from downloading another browser that you did not configure, using graphical FTP, or going to their friends house to watch smut?

    BTW, I don't have kids, but couldn't the youngster simply CTRL-ALT-DEL their windows box to bring up the running apps and then shut down Net-Nanny or any other filter? Could this stop the library filtering we are soon to see here in the US

    Interesting sidenote, my roommate (a history major) and I(biology) were discussing gun control and after I asserted the second amendment was as valid as any other constitutional amendment, he promptly replied that technology has far surpassed what the founding fathers intended, as in their time all they had were muzzle-loaders.

    Upon asking him if the media had changed since 1787 and if the First amendement was not valid based upon changes in the media, he shut up.

    If NDS support had made it to the kernel in its GPL'ed form and MSFT had taken that code to use in one of their projects, closed source, as usual.

    Even though I'm an undergrad I've taken all the general/biology related courses except the design project with nothing but an excellent recomendation for the program. The bio program is a little weird because we've had a number of Ag. Science people (Plant pathology/Seed/Animal Pathology) join up even though they weren't in the School of Biology.
