Calling Alfa's RC's and Beta's SP1? How does he think he can beat Linux by offering value for your money? As I can see it Linux will beat MS anytime or does he want to lower the price of windows even more, Lets say to $O,-- with the offer of sending you free Install CD's if you request them?
Yeah drop the price as in give it away for free. Not that I would use it then but people could get at last non value for no money. If they would open up a paypall donation account I would like to donate some money to MS for making me take the final step to Linux.
What interest me most is how this will evolve in the next generation of lawmakers. If these young people are going to step up against RIAA and win, who will be left to watch the RIAA propaganda videos like recently exposed on/.? Seems to me that RIAA with their complete propaganda machinery is no match for educational facilities:-)
First they take on Microsoft and then China. No goal seems to big. Considering that Brussels is populated by people that are in one way or the other political stigmated in their home countries, one starts to wonder if the Geeks and Nerds are taking over in Brussels. A sort of 'A prophet is not honored in it's home country.' Take for instance Neelie Kroes. Right wing politician that has one more then one occasion been compared to 'The Tatcher' (remember her, woman don't start wars, the wars start woman). Never the less this little pitbull made a great thorn in the side of Microsoft. And I didn't have time yet but I can imagine that she's behind this proposal as well. Gives you to think that most right wing politicians in the Netherlands obviously are more progressive an liberal then left wing politicians in other countries. I wonder if we can get her to smoke some pot and listen to Jimmy Hendrix.
I refuse to believe this. I will *not* read these documents. They are probably forged by these European users anyway. Everybody knows that Microsoft goes all the way to support it's users and Bill Gates is a nice man who supports a lot of charities. How can you even suggest that they would join the forces of evil to steal our money. It's true my Vista is a bit slower on the HP with 512Mb memory, but I bought it that way and it is supposed to be like that. If not then it is certainly not MS fault but HP. And if the SP1 is dropping a lot of functionality in a range of programs then that is only to protect us users from evil software that profits from the great source code MS produces. I hate you all for making fun of MS[tm].
As you say one country, we are entitled to a Kentucky too you know:-) Anyway it's obvious Europe wants to do things itself. We are no developing country that has to sell it's soul to uncle Sam. And given the healthy amount of suspicion, we want to use our own knowledge and learn from our own mistakes. Probably our mistakes are even better as we sometimes are able to learn from them. So 'the more' money you are referring to is called 'learning money' here and we consider it well spent. Ask Boeing or Nasa what we mean by that:-)
Nothing wrong with it, if and when the same authority takes care about securing an unfiltered channel for people who do not want to be censored. Problem is that group, is probably to small to make a political difference (so is probably the other group) and that way politicians can put is on their agenda and get away with it.
Wasn't this called The Google Earth Community in an other life? Or is this one of those great innovative new inventions with compliments of the other Gates?
BTW would this be patentable? Adopting Open software model to replace your current propriatory one? Where can I file? All rights reserved 2008 Raphael Emportu.
Don't threaten them with callbacks, rather explain that they can use it for free and sell it anyway;-P. No more research department. They only thing they will still need are the crappy call centers. And maybe, just maybe they will be able to invite Linus to do one of there presentations right for once. You know without that clown jumping around or there examples server crashing:-)
These programs hook into undocumented because MS still doesn't follow European court ruling and opening up the documentation. But then again, they have no reason to support these programs. They go the way Apple did before and will end the same way. Maybe one day we see Yahoo buying MS:-)
Must be due to the fact that sapo (telepac) is the only one, all others have to use their infrastructure until Brussels has sorted things out. But I'm pretty sure *that* will never happen. The PT mafia hasn't lost any ground since Barosso became topdog for the EU.
Define 'All ISP's'. Mine (SAPO.PT) certainly doesn't (described when you are buying) the only thing they do is offer speed upto.... But they have no problem hooking you up to a plan your line speed doesn't support. They don't even find it necessary to report this to you. So users can buy a 4 MB plan, think they get 4Mb where they actually are connected to a 2Mb line. So please take your All ISP's' rational elsewhere. Also your concept of a 'Buisness DSL' connection is misleading. I pose that there are as many plans and bandwidth distribution models as there are ISP's. For instance with my provider this buisness account sums up to a faster response time in case of trouble at almost the double rate for the plan. No more bandwidth or a different contention ratio. And when it comes to it I guess that worldwide 90% of the ISP hussle you one way or the other out of your money, some places this might be worse then other places but until somebody organizes a regulatory set of rules your f$%4)d.
I've seldom read something this stupid. The reason ISP's get away with criminal behaviour (thats what this actually is) is that law enforcement doesn't understand what this is about. If a kilo sugar would weight 900 gr. they would act. And capitalism is most certainly not the price of freedom. It's the abuse of freedom. Nothing less.
The announced traffic on a usb mobile connection here in Portugal looks like (UMTS 256kb.) The devices somehow announce UMTS connections 3.6gb) when there is only gprs. Anyhow measurements through bandwidth measuring services usually show up speeds not faster then 256kb. The companies here get away with it by announcing the speed as 'up to'. So when you complain they just say 'bad luck'. I must add to that that the fixed ADSL does more ore less the same. Most people are even connected below there promised plan. That is if you order f.i. a 4Mb plan they hook you up to actually a 2Mb connection. If by any chance you are one of the few that know his stuff and you complain they just say your phone line will not support the speed and offer to set your plan back to a lower speed. I know this because it happened to me twice and I also observed it with customers of mine. Imagine having a 8Mb connection trying to upgrade to 16 and being set back to 4. If I hadn't complained they would have just charged me for 16Mb plan. And then they have the nerv to tell me my line doesn't support higher speeds then 4Mb.:-) Yes I keep smiling what else can I do?
Running the risc the Yahoo scouts find new engineers? This is NOT ONLY about people this is also about eliminating a player. It's a bit naive to even think Bill would spent this money without counting it twice or that he would explain his true plans. But that everything he does is momentarily motivated by Google makes him a bit transparent. Let me help you on your way. If the phone industries are making bucks in the near future by using a free OS (I bet the phone will still cost the same), how long do you think it will take for the pc industries to wake up and remember the days that the PC cost more then the OS? But Google cannot be tackled that easy so we have to nibble at every corner we can get a hold on. The intrinsic value of the bid on Yahoo becomes less important in that light.
I'm looking for contacts that leech gameboy roms and need to acquire large quantities of crack or hot radioactive material. This month I offer a free fully automatic handgun to spray your classroom with each order.

Running the risk to outweird you, I'm Dutch and smoking pot is legal now overhere. Sorry.

I don't think my acrobat reader runs under wine, so that would make at least 2 apps. I hope many will follow before they stop supporting Vista :-)
Well that would explain why they would run on Windows, that indeed is a RISC.

Never been checked on an airport have you? That'll turn your dream into a real nightmare. Hope you like Cuba :-)
You mean they didn't know till now? Why hasn't that war been won yet?
Wasn't this called The Google Earth Community in an other life? Or is this one of those great innovative new inventions with compliments of the other Gates?
.net? Are you really comparing that to PHP? How come? What did you pay for Php? Are you the victim of...?
