You could get around the reduction in MPEG encoding quality at least by having a server thread working out the GOP ranges and encoding them in separate encoder threads. After that the resultant encoded GOPs just need to be assembled in the correct order.
I'd suggest you check the firebug releases page. They appear to have released a version that supports firefox 3 (1.2b3 so far). Not sure how buggy it is at the moment, but from what i recall about firebug 1.0.5 under ff3, this can't be too bad.
Do this and you won't have anyone downloading the ad-free version of a show on BitTorrent/p2p.
Not so sure about that argument. 'In Rainbows' was free (if you wanted) but was still pirated anyway. I'm sure that there would still be many people who still rather download the shows through torrents just because they don't have to worry about ads (with the added bonus of not having an increase in file size or a decrease in quality).
Doesn't sound like somewhere I'd like to work anyway. They've just made my job-search easier. Good Riddance.
It can't seriously be that hard can it? The lights are obviously off so you just need to flip the switch to the opposite setting.
reminds me of a movie where they killed the boss alien with 'head and shoulders'

The Makron will be pleased
And yet if you are the only person to know about said P2P tech, then there will be no peer on the other end to share / dl from
