700 Mhz at 1.6V bumps down the MHZ then the V's
Can make the analysis on a frame by frame basis ( example used is playing a DVD ).
700 Mhz uses 1.65V is 100% then the processor goes to 400 Mhz using 1.4 Vs then down to 333Mhz at 1.2v. Thats only using 25% of the processor.

My plan for Unix, etc., is to wait until DirectX is running there (in the works, but I don't know any of the details)."

i'll definetly sign up for that dev program. i wonder what the minimum requirements for the system are? if the kernel is only 100kb what the hell has mikeysoft put in thiers?
now if we all can convince them to open up the dev project this would be damn cool.. expand wine to run native nt products alongside reqular windoze apps.
Of course you all realize that the only way to really solve this problem is to have Bill and Linus sit down be givin each an identical machine, there os of choose and have each one install and tweak and then have a testing company, preferably one that wasn't paid off, test the machines and see who comes out on top. That of course being that each of the head honchos know about there respected os enough to be able to configure them. Bill Gates should know all about NT since thats what he talks about now-a-days, and we all know Linus knows Linux..
they could release the win9x source instead of the nt kernel!
if they actually do release the nt kernel source.. it would be interesting to see what would come of it. this is of course barring that the eula isn't totally restrictive ( of course it will be ) and that its just the straight kernel with no hooks for integration ( ie4, ie5 needed to compile ) and such. to be able to clean it up and create an Open-NT.
well one could dream, but since this will never happen.. back to recompiling my kernel here.
well if they are gonna release the tools, wouldn't that mean that joe programmer will have the ability to code his own psx2 games or tools? imagine the possibilities.. how cool. xbill for psx2:)
HEY! i like pro wrestling, because when someone jumps off the top of a steel cage and lands on a wooden desk, YOU KNOOOOOW thats gotta hurt. i like Springer for the above reason also. as for late night infomercials. THEY ARE GREATEST THING SINCE SLICED BREAD! i mean come on, like you've never sat there and watched the Mr T. gold cleaning set and said to yourself, " BOY! that would be pretty darn useful!" Or when Lorenna Bobbit first started to sell her cutlery i'm suuure you weren't sitting there next to the phone saying to yourself, " GREAT GRAVY! they can cut through anything!" The point i'm trying to make is this one . isn't that a great point to make? here i'll do it again . oh yeah! feeeeel the love.
i work down the street from networksolutions. they are laying new cable all down that road.. i drive by the building everytime i goto the postoffice or burger king.
i consider beos3 and 4 seperate since i like beos. i also have a win3.1 partition but i didn't put that down since win95 crap pretty much makes up for it.. because when you get down to it.. win9x is nothing more then win3.1 with a new interface..
well i saw one up here in the northern va area at a computer show, and i was looking for a case and this guy that was selling them, was selling them cheap, so i bought one. let me just say.. THEY SUCK!! i hate the two button at, atx config, and don't get me started on the freakin' door that kept wanting to break off.. i was so pissed and drenched in kerosine and promptly burned it.. it was lovely.. went back to my lovely beige case. you don't know you miss it until you set your new case on fire.

so far he has showed two vers of Crusoe. One is a 400 MHZ version for handhelds and other smaller mobiles.
there is a 700Mhz version for Notebook size mobiles. All have X86 compatibility and only use 1 Watt of POWER!
more and more this product is becoming focused on the internet.
Crusoe supports:
1. Full PC Architecture
2. Runs all X86 Operating Systems
3. 100% X86 Application Compatiblity
4. Run WEB BROWSER & Plugins
Crusoe uses very little power. 20 miliwatts of power in STANDBY MODE.
Crusoe's low power offers what people want.
