    I think putting control in the hands of the people is just as important. I'm not a fan of guns everywhere, but the underlying point is valid...I think bitcoins, wikileaks, the internet in a general and 3D printers are all useful tools against corporate run governments.

    Well I think effeminate can also be used as an adjective. "Look at that effeminate male." In that case the word is less a passive effect, and more a characteristic.

    Not that I disagree with your underlying point.

    Interesting. What about effeminate? It looks like it would be opposite, but it feels like it's used in nearly identical contexts.

    Is there a word that means the opposite (i.e. depriving female of feminine characteristics?)

    My clothes come out perfectly clean for me. Maybe you're spending too much time complaining about the eco-lobby and not enough time on personal hygiene.

    What is the eco-lobby btw? Those big bad corporate lobbyists who are so greedy for selfish causes like the environment? I wish they would care about the little guys for once, like British Petroleum etc.

    No kidding. Hyperbole much??

    The absence of plastic bags isn't killing people. Not washing reusable bags is killing people (maybe?) The same would be true if people reused plastic bags. The solution is educating the stupid people (or letting Darwin sort it out).

    OF COURSE YOU HAVE TO WASH BAGS YOU USE TO HOLD MEAT PRODUCTS.

    Fucking people are so addicted to pollution (and laziness) they come up with the stupidest reasons in support of the status quo.

    Well I dont know about Ontario, but our BC government said that SLAPP laws are unnecessary. Of course don't think our premier likes public participation that much so that explains it.

    Not really. You could say it's a parent's first amendment right to not educate their children, but education is a fundamental right. You don't get to omit math and language, you shouldn't get to omit science either. That's what this bill is trying to do: replace science with religion.

    How about a bill that replaces science with Hinduism? How many bible belters would get behind that?

    I agree. But due process would also require a lengthy ordeal to prove that they did the action that renounced their citizenship. Unless you want to skip that.

    Also, people are people and should be afforded the same fundamental rights whether American or otherwise. Why not make slaves of non-Americans? If we can kill non-Americans without due process, why not make slaves of them? This whole obsession with assassination of Americans (as if killing non-citizens is obviously alright) makes me very uncomfortable (as a Canadian).

    Yea particularly if you get to higher levels where the students are paying to be there.

    Following current copyright logic...the students should get the rights to work created by teachers...given that the students are paying their salaries.

    Well in this case the programming failed under normal use. That is it failed to keep people out.

    In the case of buildings, normal use would include extreme weather and earthquakes etc depending on the area.

    Normal use on the internet includes keeping intruders out, even when they put some effort to get in.

    Nothing is perfect, but you don't punish people who identify flaws, especially not at a so-called place of learning.

    I would agree with you except I think many people realize that leaving accessories on unnecessarily drains your battery. Most people are aware of how quickly their phone dies.

    If it wasn't for that fact then for sure you'd be right.
