It will not just be Microsoft making games. They have a large list of developers, and should carry automatic hit tiles like Madden and NHL'xx from EA Sports.
I believe that MS is doing more than just piecing stuff together, although I think November might be a premature release date. I fully expect with the amount of money they are spending on advertising, the Microsoft name, and some solid 3rd party titles, the X-Box will be very successful!
This seems like extortion to me. Is it legal to force someone to sign a contract in order to get what is already legally theirs? I assume that all of the webmasters had signed an initial contract with their percentage of revenue and whatnot.
How does giving the source code of the program to the player make it fair? Are we to assume that when two humans play, the one human knows how the other will always react. Maybe next time we go to war each side should swap battle plans so it is fair Or maybe NOT
That E*Trade commercial really took a shot at pets.com! Not that it wasn't funny, but OUCH! Overall, the commercials have been OK. I think everyone expects way too much in recent years.
If I wanted to filter out all of the stories myslef, I would go to every site that has news. (CNN, NY Times....) I don't want to do that. And I don't want to have to come to Slashdot and see the same old stories about stupid lawsuits over and over! Is it me being lazy?? Probably! Just how I feel!
Does anyone really care about who the hell is taking whoever to court. Tell me about new techie things.. Hell even bash MS, but I'm sick of all this law crap! Go watch CourtTV!
Doesn't it seem like a better idea to use idle computer time to search for a cure for Cancer and AIDS instead of searching for aliens and finding new OGR's? Guess I'm just gonna have to say goodbye to distributed.net!

The difference is that those people are breaking the law by not paying the toll. Nobody is actually breaking the law by going to the Super Bowl!
I guess the authorites assumed that only criminals can afford tickets to the Super Bowl!
