All kidding aside I figure there must be very few actual terrorists of which 99.9999% don't reside within the US given how soft many targets are in the US. The few "real" ones out there seem to like to make videos and send them to foreign news outlets. These frequently feature the leader yammering about The Great Satan (tm) and have a couple of masked men behind him with AKs or rocket launchers. Given that these individuals are far off in some other country and couldn't get to the US the pose no real direct threat. They do however serve as great propaganda piece to allow the massive erosion of rights and expansion of government. So I guess they do pose a pretty good indirect threat to the citizenry of the US.

Now if I needed to I could sell it all and pay off my house but typically I make more from my investments each month than my monthly house payment so I would be stupid to do that. I actually look forward to the next blood bath in the market since it will be a great buying opportunity. And for those of you who are nearing retirement you should have most of your money in more stable investments since you can't just wait it out for decades like I can as someone who is still fairly early in their career.

Similar things can be said about the other side of the court as well. I take issues when it becomes convenient to rule one way then the other, the worst of these was the first and third parts of the ACA ruling where it was found to be both not a tax (for purposes of having standing) and a tax (for purposes of being legal for government to do) so either we now have a form of quantum law or the court immediately overturned its own decision. In either case I lost all faith in the court since rulings should be clearly applicable (not some bizarre quantum superposition type of law) or they are just so incompetent that they feel the need to overturn something immediately after ruling on it.

That is easy, let them know that you will actively work against them in the next election cycle and will be supporting a primary challenger if there is one or will be supporting their opponent. specifically mention that you will be reminding all of your neighbors of their misdeeds when the election comes around. When you see their campaign workers in your neighborhood let them know what you really thing, they do take notes. Then actually follow through with it. Also it helps if you regularly contact them and offer support when they do something you like. Also not every issue can be one you revoke support for since then you just sound like a whining child but do remind them of their previous poor decisions.

With modern license plates that many states are rolling out that are designed to be high contras in the IR band and easy to OCR, I would imagine that a RPi with camera and low cost GPS receiver could handle the processing and collection. Since all you would need to store would be the time stamp, location data, plate state, and plate number which would be a trivial amount of text data so a 32GB SD card would be able to hold a lot of data. I mean really why bother storing a large detailed photo when what you are after is location and time of a specific vehicle. Now since we are already processing an image we could also OCR out the make and model of vehicle as well as record the color for a more detailed description. Having multiple people doing this and contributing and uploading each day in a similar fashion to Open Street Map and it becomes trivial.
