    The problem is Mozilla has become as money hungry as all the master's that they serve. When was the last time you saw an argument for keeping firefox FOSS?

    You provided the citation. Any body that argues over "Freedom Of Speech" is looking to restrict "Freedom Of Speech".

  7. If you're in China or Iran and VPNing due to government oppression, doesn't it make a lot more sense to send your traffic through the US or UK or Japan or some other country with less draconian oversight of internet traffic?

    Not sure about Japan, but the US and the UK are hardly exemplars of internet freedom.

    Perhaps those industrialized foods just aren't as bad for us as some people would like them to be? I don't know for sure but it could be we just need more data before we jump to conclusions? Who could ever forget the fiasco that followed the directives that cholesterol was bad for you? Talk about your increases in diabetes and dementia that came about because of that! It helps no one to jump on a train heading down the wrong track.

    Uber, Lyft, and the like don't "share" rides, they are taxi services.

    I'll agree with you on Jobs, but FDR kept the U.S. from becoming a Fascist country. The public was primed to revolt, and America has always been bent more towards authoritarianism and reject libertarianism. Just look at how hard it is to get people to accept that life is a right despite it being a prime reason to sever ourselves from Britain.

    As an outsider my take is that EU members must follow EU laws. Maybe not quite as federated, but similar to our various States being required to follow U.S. law. To expound on this theory, Britains don't like that those from poor countries are allowed to freely enter their nation in order to seek a lifestyle that would be exorbitant in their own nations.

    I know I have a very incomplete understanding of the matter, but I guess it would be like California claiming that restricting Mississippians from crossing their border to improve their lot is a State right.
