    I think you'll find that a hero is someone who "Saves the Day". Risking ones life is just a measure of courage. Also, just because he's on Camera does not mean that he will get caught. London is full of security cameras but that does not correlate between increase in cameras installed over time vs increase in criminals caught.

    I think you'll find that username and password are still only single factor, as they're both something you know.

    Why am I still waiting for an apple product that can do video calls that is not a laptop/desktop
    They either have no camera at all (yes I know there seems to be a camera kit at "extra cost" for the iPad) or the camera is in the wrong direction for use with calls. Just stick a damn camera in the top like the iMac already.

    I'd hardly even call this a tablet PC other than it is shaped like a traditional stone slate, I guess I'll need to wait for a thrid party app to be able to draw on the screen. It does eveything my iPhone already does except make calls...colour me unimpressed :-(

    You could even go as far as the "I trust this author button" (IT Dept can prefill this in registry or something)
    various other apps use this method where security is imperative like the noscript addon for firefox or Internet Explorer's trusted sites feature.

    we use sharepoint (the free version) at the moment, does an excellent job when you have no budget. but if you have the time, skills or budget (the usual "pick any two" rule) there are better CMS stuff available.

    even works well with ldap/samba domain controllers.

    We run a small shop where the few IT people we have still live in the win95 era. convincing them that they should use password in the first place was a great feet. We have long term plans for multiple IDs along with active directory a long way down the track and probably linux based. (small steps :-)

    as long as I can get them to stop installing VNC on every server with weak or no password.
    I'll definately take you up on that second suggestion.

    Stuff like this has happened before.
    The 2 notable ones I remember are:
    canberra a few years back
    and ash wednesday back around 1984(I think)

    whilst it would be nice to know better management plans, (planned burn offs work great IMHO)
    I think blaming global warning seems like a bit of a "what can be blame today".

    I prefer the remote desktop from 2k3. you got 1 local login and 2 remote using the same admin userid.
    If you try that on 2k8, you end up stealing the local persons session(i.e one login handed around).

    either it sucks or maybe I'm just doing it wrong.

    Its not that they aren't handing them on at all, They seem to be handing them to the Police and getting them to sort it out instead of getting involved. Personally I have no problem that that approach and I think it is better.
    The lawsuit appears to be because the studios think that isn't enough.

    As a now 23 year old. I was overlooked many times for multiple jobs just because of age. I had left school at around 15 to go and study fulltime in Network Management. By 18 yrs old I had a Certification from DMIT (Douglas Mawson Institute of TAFE) in Client Support/Helpdesk Management, Diploma in Network Management, CCNA certification and MCSE in Windows 2000 Active Directory. Most employers took one look at my age and assumed I was a n00b fresh from highschool, resume was returned to me still as I had placed it in the folder. I finally managed to get employment just before my 20th b'day and only because I had a contact within the company.
