    Ah Truly news for nerds is back :D

    Sorry erm fund raising well you could try kickstarter but you might need to go viral for success. I'd speak to some of the colleges senior staff and ask them for suggestions they probably know some of the better places to ask. Also look at local charitable associations and find out if any of them have links to any kind of military radio operators (You'd be surprised there are some that only accept army pay clerks).

    But most of all pound the streets talk to the local Radio/TV Stations, local papers and don't forget the college's student papers.

    Surely this will just make the other exchanges tighten their security. Wouldn't be surprised if some of them temporarily suspended BitCoin but it's not the end for BitCoin.

    Exactly the same with the Apollo Space program James Web then head of NASA spread the construction out in the same way. It's a tried and trusted way of avoiding being cancelled by congress because it creates jobs in most congressmen's constituencies.

    Had a friend who upgraded his to 48K it later broke down and he sent it back for repair. They sent back a brand new 16K model :)

    Sorry but that's just making me Baud :)

    Surely many of the existing encoding techniques used by existing broadband and old school modems (Yes I do know what BAUD is) would be valid here. In fact I believe many of the ideas you suggest are actually already being used by the Telco's especially utilising discreet frequencies.
