    Bearing in mind that Walmarts uk outlets (Tesco's) have just had to apologise to the public for selling beef burgers that were 28% horse I find your idea of Soylent burgers not entirely unappetising. :)

    There are a number of things you could try.

    1. Pair programming usually improves coding standards

    2. Code Reviews can promote improved standards

    3. Don't let them maintain code they've worked on before unless it's been round the rest of the team

    One wonders what proportion of the US population have sued or have been sued and what proportion are lawyers. From the rest of the worlds perspective it's very easy to assume that the US population are extremely litigious and sue each other at the drop of a hat, however, I hate stereo types and it certainly doesn't fit with most of the Americans I know but there are a few :)

    If they are doing it properly the performance testing alone would easily take at least a week. And another week for re doing security testing. Your idea of a release cycle is somewhat skewed.

    MS locked it down so you could only run apps you bought from the app store same reason apple locks theirs down. I suspect atleast with MS upgrade probably patches wont turn your unlocked tablet into a brick.
