Even funnier, the gp, which just mentioned that groklaw had covered the SCO case, has been modded "insightful", bloody hell, maybe if I post a comment pointing out that rain falls, or goldfish swim, possibly that the Pope is catholic, I should expect to also be modded "insightful".
What a load of old bollocks, pity these sad people can't accept criticism.....
Yes, so indeed did I. Not just read. I joined, commented, contributed cash, believed the hype, thought I was helping, proofed, supplied corrections blah, blah.
Then saw the insidious, and frankly ugly, nature of the moderation system, plus I couldn't quite reconcile the "open source" rhetoric on the site with the "This is my space, agree with me completely or fuck off"
Oh yes, and the attack dogs. Jeez, disagree & you'd be jelly in a blender. "You dare impugn the God that is Pamela Jones? I will hunt down your children"
Shame really, at the time we all thought we were helping. As it turned out, not.
Hmm, actually I agree, we had a batch of about 50 Nokia 350's, and they were nothing but trouble, Dick Turpin alone knows how many TACs we opened & how many replacements were shipped. Not one of them lasted more than 3 years before the lot were replaced with commodity Compaqs.
I recall someone took a 12 bore (12 gauge) to a 350 & posted the pics as the correct way to fix a Nokia, can't find them now, but we had a print out pinned to our trouble board for a goodly while.
Only if you're talking about CheckPoint FW1 (v4.0), which was EOL'ed almost a decade ago. Current Sonicwall devices are only just catching up with R55, you should see the new stuff..
It's nothing to do with any of all that old bollocks, I do wish people would read the FUCKING article, or maybe sod off & just read bog-roll packets. Yeah, that'll do it. Bollocks I'm off down the pub. Tosser.
I have a higher UID than you, though I do know what a root DNS server is. I also bet that I was using a computer before your Father kissed your Mother for the first time. I also probably know way more physics & maths than you. Philosophy is for girls, so you win on that one.
Yes, the OP should have RTFA, but your point is what, precisely?
We bought hosting from a company called Mailbox (in the UK) the website had a full set of DNS entries, however, once we couldn't pay for hosting, on account of being skint, the site disappeared. We still had the domain name, because it was a three year registration. Once that expired someone else registered it.
Is absolutely vast, even considering the common orbiting heights. A couple of thousand objects floating around (OK with their own intrinsic velocity) in such a ginormous area, isn't going to cause *that* many problems.
Would be to not let "Kids" near a PC.
That bastardised version of the blessed game Rugby, that Americans call Football, should really be called Throwball.. :-)
Obama is a close second..

By gum, I've been modded "Troll", shurely shome mishtake.
Nope, the same attack dogs live here too it seems. How sad.
You really should get out more...

Yabbut, Miss Jones once likened /. to pond scum & stated she felt unclean after browsing here for a few moments.
Prolly why the link was to ars.
You really don't understand, do you?
Pah!
He's neither a buffoon nor particularly well meaning.
Doesn't stop him being vaguely likable..
If we'll finally get real X-Ray Specs now that would be a good use....

To fully implement dnssec.
You should get out more.......
On the strength of this, looks like Java will be following it.
What difference will that make to my general new-fangled-interweb experience?
Enquiring minds need to know...
Does it take?
Zero; "Lightbulb?, lightbulb?, what is that of which you speak?, I code in the dark, the real dark!"
Does it take to change a bulb?
A: 347, 1 to change the bulb, 346 to sing about how good the old one was.
OK, that's enough, sorry.
Q: How many Manchester United fans does it take to screw in a light bulb?
:-)
A: 3, One to book the flights from Malaysia, one to drive from Heathrow to Manchester & one to change the bulb
What a twat! Nuff said..

www.worlddatabase.com
Quite right, my first site's front page, from December 1996, is there, but that's it, none of the other pages are archived :-(
I couldn't afford to pay the hosting charges (between jobs) and it died.
On the other hand, I'm quite glad that the majority of the geocities stuff isn't there, it was mostly awful.

One would hope
