It's not about lost profits, it's about locking in ownership. It's about ending the threat sovereign democracy represents to the homeless elite's property "rights".
The adoption by the mainstream far right like Breitbart, some of the Reddit crowd and Youtube e-celebs did seem to lag the media's use of the term from my point of view. Not that it matters, the media likes to use it and Breitbart&Co don't really care. The media thinking up a new term and then trying to slowly transform it into Nazi in the sheep's mind doesn't really hurt them worse than the media just starting off with Nazi.
"What leads so many people to say that investigative journalism is a sham?"
The bias of the media towards the status quo. They will make some token gestures about shit which doesn't matter, but when something important to the establishment like TPP or immigration or undeniable Social Justice TRUTHS are concerned the media exposes itself.
"If there is no free media, how do we trust any news."
We pick out whatever suits our prejudices... for a lot of us this leads to more racist views than if we had a media we could trust, but alas.
Will the "left" apologize when (more) race riots rock Sweden as their economy collapses? Have they apologized for the race riots in your own country as the needless antagonism fanned by the "liberal" media caused death and destruction all through the US?
Guess god really does hate them then, because 1 in 5 have AIDS in the US.
Or maybe common sense should prevail. OK Cupid results should be taken with a pinch of salt considering the many historical research papers on gay number of partners into account, as well as the AIDS numbers.
PS. also I said average, not median... with 2% of gay men having 23% of the sex on OK Cupid with no mention of similar numbers for heterosexuals, it's likely the average is a fair bit higher.
"We conclude that use of the latest information on external influences on the climate system and adjusting for internal variability associated with ENSO can almost completely reconcile the trends in global mean surface temperature in CMIP5 models and observations."
Who cares about a single year... the climate models overestimated warming by nearly 2x for the average for the last two decades and 4x for the last 15 years.
Lets say we just keep shoveling food aid at the third world and they keep procreating. What will you do when their populations become unsustainable where they are? Do you then propose to spread them out all over the rest of the world? With the inevitable ethnic strive that will cause because the native population will have vast advantages economically and will be resented for it, while the third world immigrants take over control of the nations through the ballot box.
Do you see good things coming from this? Your way leads to a world drowning in blood.
Unless the singularity comes to save us first, which I kinda doubt.
Your preferred rule of law created the problem, they have adopted the rule of law necessary to make diversity "work".
The natives won't accept a Nice every couple of months.
So either the security services prevent it from happening by any means possible, or the natives will do so through ethnic cleansing.
It's the only way to unite people who don't wish to be united. It's how that great beacon of multiculturalism Singapore does it too.
Sure, in the same way as Japan ... if no one wants to have it just put it on the Federal reserves balance sheet and forget about it.
It's just paper.
"If we want to take away TPP, what are we replacing it with?"
Absolutely nothing, the same thing TPP would have done to China's trading position.
Trade doesn't need trade agreements.
Or more people switched from Tylenol/Paracetamol to Advil/Ibuprofen.

Even if demand was increasing we would run into ecological issues.
We're close to peak global consumption one way or another, we are nowhere close to peak per worker productivity. A problem.
That is the way of the west, a lot of plausible deniability and nudge nudge wink wink.
We have grown very sophisticated at propaganda and corruption.
Alt-right was used by a very small fringe.

Of course not.
Well timed and selected truths make the best propaganda.
Could you point to any of the drafts where that was actually ever in?
A coalition between Nationalists and Socialists.
This is a privacy versus free speech issue, not a privacy versus public's right to know.
It's not about right to know, but right to publish.
No, they should be liable as a seller. How they cover that liability is up to them.
With HIV rates between 15-20% the gay community is giving it a really good try, fortunately for them drugs saved them.
Guess god really does hate them then, because 1 in 5 have AIDS in the US.

Very rarely with 100s of partners a year, yet this is "not uncommon" in the gay male community.
They are on average promiscuous on a level heterosexuals just don't get close to.
NASA researchers agreed with the hiatus ... no fear though, they found a way to make the model fit the data.

Luckily most of it is covered by water which is pretty good at evening things out.
The predictions of pretty much every climate model from 20 years ago have been wildly pessimistic though.
Was there significant warming last century? Yes. Are climate scientists any good at predicting the climate lately? No.
