Moore's law has to do with processors not the internet.

The british and canadians had different beaches. If you didn't know there were five main beaches in the d-day invasion (omaha, utah, sword, gold and juno). The americans had two beaches the brits two and the canadians had one. There were other allied soliders involved but their assualts were not as massive and the americans, brits and canadians. The reason there were no brits or anyone else show was because this was omaha beach and americans were the only ones there. So next time you start spouting off about where were the other non americans how about you do a little research first so you'd know why.

Also, dvd playback will NOT be an option on the Game Cube, and Nintendo has said that they'll market this as a gaming-only machine. Well, that rules out the CASUAL gamers, who would rather buy a gaming unit WITH dvd playback instead of two seperate machines. Not a good move on Nintendo's part, especially since I know people who were sold on the PS2 simply because of the dvd playback.

You know i hate it when people say this, do any of you all actually own a PS2 with the DVD, cause if you do you'd know it sucks ass. Yeah thats right it sucks. My roomate bought a PS2 for pretty much the sole purpose of the DVD and needless to say he was pretty pissed. Why you might ask, well the laser seems to have a problem with reading the 2nd layer on DVD's. This is such a big problem in fact there were quite a few movies we could not watch. So he went out and bought a pioneer 5 disc DVD changer and it kicks ass. It has none of the problems the PS2 had. So what i am saying is if you buy a PS2 just for the DVD drive, just shoot yourself, you'll be doing your wallet a favor. Because you're better of just going out and getting a seperate DVD system.

yes it pisses me off about what those christians did out side of matthew shepards funeral, in fact it makes me sick but how is it any better for you to belittle the hell out of christianity, that just perpetuates the rift.

i am not going to say there aren't christians out there that piss me off, but it works in the opposite direction too, i don't care what you believe in (or don't), just don't force our views on me, and don't belittle another religion just because a few nuts decide to start self-righteous quests. think about it, why should anyone's religion matter to anyone, i never use it to judge a person, and you shouldn't either, and i am sure you have met truly tolerant christians they just didn't let you know cause they didn't think it mattered.

why is it that stuff on slashdot generally tends to degenerate into a religious conflict, and yes i recognize that it was not your doing but you perpetuated it, hopefully my post won't. basically people just need to ignore people like that and like you cause in the long run it doesn't matter, your opinion doesn't effect my life, and mine doesn't effect yours. and yes i realize and speaking out and that does contradict with some of what i am saying about just shutting up but someone had to say this and i figured i might as well.

This sounds like a hell of a lot better deal to me. Now i am sure they have alterior motives, well i say they'd damn well better use the satelites, think about it, would you rather the gov't spend 72 million and not use them or spend 72 million and get some communication use out of them.
