    Maybe if more people did this the cable companies would get the hint. And even if they didn't, it wouldn't really matter that much. I have some friends who all share a Dish subscription (4 different houses - one bill) and so they end up paying about $20/month for Dish. If neighborhoods got together and shared services, it wouldn't be so cost prohibitive. Oh well, I'm just rambling, and I'm sure that the cringely link was on /. before...

    There is a Russian company working on a 6 DOF (degree of freedom) controller that they have used to control RC cars and some video games (I think Xbox).Once you get past the "history of Siberia" part, there is some (all be it little) information about the sensors they're designing.

    Since the topic at hand is kde2.0, and compiling Koffice requires 2.0 snapshots, I actually would like to ask a question. First, has anybody been able to compile koffice with the latest snapshots(i.e., 19991107)? Second, if you have, how do I do it? I've been trying and trying. I get qt-2.1.0 to compile just fine, but I cannot get past that point. When I try to compile kdesupport-199911XX, I get a lot of missing or not used statements, and finally a reccursive error that kicks me out. I think the last missing integer is klast. Just a little info: I'm using both RH6.0 and OL2.3. Thanks.
