I will send my left nut to Steve Jobs if this gets approved.

Think of the odds: this meteorite landed 146 years
ago in 1864.
What are the chances that something would be flying around
the solar system for nearly 4.5 billion years then hit this wee planet which
was Created only 5854 years earlier?
Oh man am I a tard. I didn't realize it was you, spun. Well done, you got me. Could have probably put in a tubgirl link and have got me to click on it, too.
You laugh, but if she grows up to be a geek with geek friends, she'll have the coolest low UID among her friends.
Of course the odds are against that, but cover all the bases eh? (tried the mail function as I don't remember the password... Ug, nothing yet)
"iDevices" is easier to type than "my iPhone, my girlfriend's iPhone, our daughter's iPod Touch and the family iPad".
I believe in the right tool for the job no matter what the OS. If you want to go on an anti-Apple rant, feel free. Just don't use my shorthand term as an excuse for it, it's far too obvious.
It pretty much hamstrings the devices since alot of the internet uses flash.
I hear that old line a lot yet I don't seem to every having it be much of an issue on my iDevices. Certainly the loss of Flash-ads has more than made up for any perceived loss of functionality.
I loaded that in my iPad.
Rather than seeing the blue no-Flash cube on that site, I saw a man stretching his anus open to remarkable proportions. It must be that update to iOS 3.1.3 I did the other day.
Rather than waiting for an improvement I'm all for just cutting Flash out like a cancer.
There are other things on the horizon which can (supposedly) do the job and replace Flash altogether. That's where my money will go. [disclosure: I have an iPhone and iPad. Flash isn't missed.]
Yes, and black holes are a science like creationism is. Nice mathematical principal yet the accepted physical proof is a rapidly rotating ball of plasma?
Creationism is not a science. They don't present any evidence to back up their silly claims. They don't even have a mathematical model to work with, you just have to believe.
If somehow, one day, the paths do truly cross, still don't mention religion. Just put the information out there and let those who are willing to accept new ideas, learn.
That approach has failed to work when Creationists get involved; they aren't willing to learn new ideas. Rather, they attack the entire method of coming up with the new ideas.
Personally, I think scientists should stay completely out of the religious sphere. They're not going to change anyone's mind, science and religion mix very badly
True enough, but the religious folks think it's OK to warp science to fit into their primitive belief systems.
Just look at the Creationist nonsense going on in US schools. This is 2010?!

Remarkable!

Most amazing indeed.

Seriously. Meant as funny. You'd think by now everyone on the planet would know it.
Ah well, I am but a simple man from Goatse.
Woot, yes! Thanks :)
It was't meant as a troll, either. The domain is there for all to see. hee hee
"Mais oui! The name of my village in France is indeed Goatse! We even have a... how you say... website!"
who needs a whole book telling you how to boil Raman Noodles?
1- I don't.
2- I don't.
Either way, it was just thinking ahead, like her college fund she may never want to use.
Bah! I can't wait for the day she comes to me looking proud, shows me a slashdot post and says "Look, daddy! My first goatse troll!" ;)

Heheh, I set up an account for my daughter in the UID 700k range. She's 4 now...
ps: sent from my iPhone... LOL

Thats because you are spoon fed content from Apple itself.
I also run Firefox and NoScript on Linux and Windows which blocks all Flash. How, again, is Apple spoon-feeding me?

YMMV.
No netflix in Canada until recently. We just download.
PopcornHour Network Media Tanks ! We own two and LOVE 'em. Xvid, mkv, iso, vob etc. Up to 1080p.
Interesting.

lol
Next will be government mandated backdoors into SSH and SSL... you know, to stop the terrorists.
I think I would have said it more of "Hawking picks one religion over another."
Atheism is a religion like not collecting stamps is a hobby.
