    I navigation, it takes longer to make small course changes to account for the curvature of the earth so traveling a curved line is usually faster to avoid breaking the momentum.

    I've found Subclipse over the past 6 months I've used it to be flawless and combined with Eclipse makes VS look like a toy.

    Notes 6 and 7 I didn't like but Notes 8 is a major redo and works very well. Just remember to go into File Prefs (I think) and change the default font to Bitstream fonts.

    It didn't take me more than a week of earnestly looking at Rails to discover it isn't even half-baked. Of course if I had come from a university background, I'm sure this exercise would have taken at least a year or two.
