Well Yahoo just lost it's biggest user base, Japan. Yahoo in Japan is bigger than both Microsoft and Google, yahoo even provides internet, and cellphone services in Japan.
It's going to be interesting to see what happens to Yahoo Japan.
Yahoo search is not better than Google but in some ways out performs google when it comes to non-english results. I don't know why they would trash their so much better than bing search engine for well... bing. It's like trading in a convertable for a prius.
I have used bing a few times, and I don't see why anyone would use it over Yahoo or Google. The results aren't exactly relative to the search term, and they seem to be similar to a default sql %QUERY% but that's just my opinion.
Hurricanes move the energy pressure from the equator and dissipates the energy accross the north and south caps of the earth. If they were to go threw with this, it would get alot hotter alot faster and the radiant pressure builds could have unforeseen consequences.
The best games put gameplay first, controls second, and graphics/audio third.
Alot of games these days sadly no longer use this method of design. Today it's more of graphics first, physics second, and promotion third.
If you follow the older method of forever fun then you will get games like super smash bros 64, golden eye 64, mario cart 64, sonic adventure, shenmu, and of course wcw vs nwo 64.
Why do people think C# is some new amazing language? Clearly MS took Java and gave it a MS framework.
If you would just use java you probably wouldn't have this fear of MS trying to undermine the OSS movement. When a multi-billion dollar company other than google tries to "help" OSS, you can only be suspicious.
If country A were to take down country B internet connection then country A wouldn't be able to spy on country B or even get sensative info. I honestly don't think it's a big of a problem as they make it out to be.
Most of it's just hollywood and bad publishing, but the main idea behind all this is revenue.
The gov get's more spending, the site/paper that publishes the story gets more notice, and the list could go on forever. The truth of the fact is if people knew the facts then no one would beable to sell "protection" software and computer movies would have to make sense.
This idea is a complete joke. Who would seriously allow the government to be attatched to their car? Onstar probably already lets the NSA have what ever access they want.
Also how would anyone know what exactly is being sent? You would think tracking credit cards, cell phones, laptops, social sites, and digital television would be enough.
Every once in a while some greedy bald guy in a suit will have coffee with his buddies to talk about restricting content for profit, and this is one of those ideas.
Activating dvds, games, and anything else on a disc is absolutely impossible. Not every single hardware maker in the world is going to raise the cost of production to apply this crap to there devices.
Now lets look at some more facts. Not everyone has internet, you would have to replace or have seperate hardware for the "activated" media, and most people will partake in the acts that this move is trying to prevent.
Although it would be a great setback for freedom of speech on the internet, it's not really going to make a difference. Technically page redirects, plain text urls, and shortcut files are not links.
On the other hand I would like to see how someone would try to enforce this garbage. It would more than likely lead to a plain text warez site or a software that retrieved plain text urls from a warez db.
o'reilly == best
sams == worst
That fact that a multi-billion dollar corporation is making up lies about free software on a daily basis is just another sign of true weakness.

I second turgid, and I will raise a toast to him.

I guess you can pay enough indians to vote for what ever you want...

I'm was actually looking for a more serious response.
I think electronics will be the past in less than 20 years.
Does anyone know when this science will be taught in universities?

Disinformation is the cheapest and most efficient secrecy measure.
People can't drive cars so now we give the same people flying cars...

So does this mean Google is in the same boat? Technically google can do the same thing with filetype.
filetype:iso has been one of my greatest search modifiers when looking for my pirated copies.
50gb Blu-ray RiP or 1-3gb DVD-RiP?
But original art is one of a kind, no copies anywhere in the universe.
We are talking about mass produced plastic in the hundreds of thousands.
This is insane beyond belief.
Should MSI get a cut of the sales if I sell my laptop?
Why should game companies get a cut of resell?
Even candy is labelled "no individual re-sell".

New, Windows 7 + Lenovo! Now you can ctrl+alt+del at half the speed of Vista!
