Unfortunately, it is true. I just went to the education site and the pricing is as follows for Leopard: single user - $116.00, family pack - $ 199.00

Those education discounts were very helpful and were the reason why I bought some apple products. However, they discounts are becoming smaller and smaller throughout the years. My guess is that shareholders are probably complaining about the steep discounts that apple offered as it became more prominent.

The problem is, marketing the next pop sensation or fad (such as emo or "gangsta" rap) to 16 year-olds is pretty much a guaranteed way to reap in huge profits since they have so much disposable income (the parents take care of necessities) and are feared that they won't fit in or be cool if they don't like what's popular and what they're peers like. I found that people that have a more varied taste tend to find the kind of music they like whether it is a independent record shop or online.

I think a bigger challenge for scientists is for them to insert their DNA into a cell naturally made by women

Why go to Honk Kong. Just go to the Chinatown in NYC or SF and you'll find amazing phones (I would recommend bringing along someone who speaks Mandarin).

I bet a cartridge of enzymes would still be cheaper than ink that printer companies sell us.

Another problem that I noticed a lot of people overlooked was the fact that the battery is soldered into place. I can bet you in 1 1/2 to 2 years from now, there is going to be a huge outcry over the battery issue. The only way I would buy one is if they allowed 3rd party software, allow different carriers, and have a replaceable battery.
