    Yes, your first line of defense is to examine what they need as far as these images, and that will tell you how far you can go in reducing their size for transmission and storage. Can they be scaled down? Can they be lossy? Can you take some time to run a more effective lossless algorithm on them? Is there redundancy between images? Secondly, do you have to move the whole image? Can you do your work on a lower quality image to define the series of steps required and then apply those steps remotely at their location? Just think real hard about what the requirements are, and don't rush yourself. You may come up with your best ideas in the shower on this when you have time to think outside the box.

    You seem to be starting from the assumption that we have to be the ones to stop him. Do you think you can stop every bad person from doing every bad thing? If you just want to save lives, you'd have a lot more impact per dollar going after mosquitoes. If it's not about the lives, then what is it about?

    If I was a law enforcement agency, I would certainly consider slowing down VPN's just to discourage people from using them. So much the easier for me to snoop.

    • Can effectively deal with people problems
    • Can fire somebody when necessary
    • Effectively represents workers interests to the company.

    Actually, they do sell it in Europe. You can buy them on EBay, but you have to get them converted from PAL to NTSC. ...and it's a bit less classic when you actually watch it again, about as good as So Dear to my Heart.
