    did you watch the other two videos?
    the second one on visual bookmarks and history had a much more usable system with more order to the icons.

    the third one was about a concept for a mobile browser and while it seemed a bit heavy for a mobile interface some of the ideas were good.
    I especially liked putting the tools to the side.

    Rock climbing is my thing too.
    I prefer bouldering to sport climbing as I don't have to rely on anyone else that way.

    Flash should never be a solution to anything IMO.
    Really I don't think anything on the web should require a plugin to view.
    Obviously this will never be true, but it is my ideal view of the web.

    Oh that's annoying, I love SVG and was hoping Firefox would put some effort into improving their support.

    There is a comment by an AC in this thread that links to a paint program made in SVG, also some sort of hex tile engine made in SVG.

    the truth is the energy crisis *is* solvable, but the bureaucracy responsible doesn't have any incentive to implement the solutions.

    the only guns I know about that are only useful for mass-murder are crew served machine guns every single operator gun I know about can be quite well used for self defense (unless it's poorly designed and useless for anything)

    A fear of weapons is not healthy, a respect for the damage they do and therefore a level of care in their handling is healthy, but a fear causes one to improperly evaluate the situation often to the point of self endangerment.

    more likely they have a larger number of suicides by gun as opposed to suicides by other means (purposefully killing ones self with a gun is relatively easy) Also self defense was included in that chart and killing someone in self defense with a gun is more likely in areas where people are likely to have a gun. At the same time violent crime in those areas tends to go down(violent crime has a higher risk in areas where people are likely to defend themselves with deadly force).

    ugh this thing is so poorly done it's really hard to read also if the "aliens" know hex then they could just write a message this is obviously a hoax or a recruitment thing

    As CNC mills get cheaper it's possible that AKs will become incredibly cheap to home produce. People already fold their own AKs from parts kits at prices that are cheaper than retail (time not included).

    I'm not an artist, but my impression of inkscape was pretty favorable. Is there something about it that makes it markedly inferior?

    It is sorta a geek issue IMO. Along with freedom of speech etc. Note the check marks are right where they should be on the people who at least claim to support the second amendment.
