    I have had a real bear trying to do some rather straightforward things on MS and Apple.

    I've had a real centipede giving me technical support. They weren't great at troubleshooting but their words-per-minute was amazing.

    Yes and no. Wales now has a separate government from England - the Welsh Assembly - but they still both come under the heading of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

    Haven't they analysed the Mona Lisa and found the sketches underneath it which Leonardo did before painting? If we'd destroyed the painting before these techniques were discovered then we wouldn't be able to do this.

    I see your point but I think it's more correct to say that what they actually want is to stop everyone from having the ability to track police actions. There's a subtle difference between not allowing anyone and not allowing everyone.

    True, but they aren't used anywhere near as often as AC is on here. I like the idea of AC but it makes spamming - or just talking crap without any repercussions - a lot easier.

    I used Rockbox on my iRiver back around 2005-ish. The UI was a massive improvement on the default even then. It might not have been a great improvement to the iOS of the time (I don't know) but it was totally usable.

    Consider Snoopy. If I look at the snoopy character and draw a similar dog called Smarpy, which isn't quite the same, and perhaps make him a comic book character, is that a derivative work?

    How about if you animate it and call the dog Brian?

    No, no, no. According to SerpentMage, whatever you learn is useless unless you keep up with programming languages so obviously we should choose a new language so that it lasts more than a month. I suggest Go. It's already about four years old though so it's almost out of date. In fact we should just get kids to write their own language. That way they'll never lose track of it. Plus they'll never have to talk to each other, which is lucky as they won't be able to.

    Unless you decide to keep up in programming languages whatever you learn is going to be completely and uterly useless.
