    see the whole neato thing about being a consumer is that im right and they are wrong. no questions asked. Papa John's pizza does not have a delivery charge and I got here more often that pizza hut. do you just troll around trying to seem smarter than people?

    This must be what the new delivery charge is paying for.... Is this going on everywhere? $.50-$1.00 delivery charges? I just take it out of the drivers tip in hope that the complaints from drivers will get it lifted...

    It takes a lot of money to run a software company like RedHat and the 50$/license is paid by the consumer in the end anyway.

    I cannot imagine Dell making a Linux dist but it wouldn't be a big deal for IBM.

    I think we have enough Linux dist's out there already so I hope each hardware vendor doesn't create a separate one. can you imagine the confusion?

    are you talking about rumba? samba is a tool that makes your unix server look like an NT server to the client.. rumba is a mainframe interface tool

    I think when this trial is over no matter what the outcome is, you will see the press shut up about linux.. then watch win2K get hyped with new features that make it proprietary... and just like that... they reclaime thier monopoly.

    I think the monopoly is just on hold right now...

    I have been comparing this to Intel myself. If you own a PII 333 then you have to buy a new MB before you can go any higher because the bus speed jumps to 100mghtz. and there is *no* ROM update that can fix that...

    On the other hand... the Mac doesn't support the Highly Parallel Systems Architecture, which includes interleaving memory and dual PCI buses... These things are must have technologies if you are in the market to buy a new server.

    I see alot of good coming out of NASA being somewhat self supportive.

    But on the other hand I cannot help but think they could become self supportive and later become a monopoly in space.
    I don't know if that is possible but I don't think NASA is government owned is it?

    from what I have read taxes should have been done away with after the great depression. I hate the idea that people get sent to jail and even commit suicide because the power the IRS has. I am all for a new tax system...

    I don't see how someone without eyes (and therefore necessarily blind) could use an ATM even today.

    People who are blind can use braile to read the keys on ATM's... but my argument isn't about blind people it is about people with no eyes at all...

    I have seen many people that had a glass eye... So this makes me wonder does this machine read one eye or both eyes? If it reads both eyes then the glass eye would need to be upgraded to contain a microchip or IR device of sorts?

    What about people with no eyes... they can use the old system still right? Does this end the days of kids (with permission) taking their parents ATM cards to get cash?

    I think I am for this system because I think we can only benefit from not having to carry our wallets with us everywhere... although maybe this technology would be better suited for the police to identify people rather than ATM machines...
    This is a scary innovation because of the things people will do to get your money, not because of the technology.

    by the way... does over use of this type of ATM machine cause any cancer? *laugh*
