Thank you, I was going to post the same but in a much less articulate fashion. JRPGs are not RPGs they are adventure game with Stat based combat. Don't get me wrong I love JRPGs, but they aren't RPGs any decisions that you make are largely irrelevant, to the overall story. You might want to look into Alpha Protocol, its a "spy story" made by the some of Black Isle guys, so at least the story and writing will be amazing. It uses the Mass Effect engine (but don't under estimate BI's ability to introduce bugs). Most of the talks about the game are how you interact with the NPCs and the "waves" that your interactions will have on other NPCs (you shoot a guys friend he's going to be mad).
The most interesting part is it was criticized for not have a lot of RPG elements like Mass Effect. That leads me to believe that they made a splinter cell type game with a boat load of character interactions, that actually matter. It was also pushed back so it looks like they may be making it more "RPGish"
Most likely his point of SS is because of its "sequel" Bioshock was dumbed down
Mass Effect is so dumbed down its not even funny, compare it to any Infinity Engine game
No arguments about Eve, I tried it the learning curve was a vertical wall. But is the game itself really that cerebral, or the fact that the game was designed to allow politics
Firefox is not that good anymore, its running far too slow, and does a bunch of short lockups. Chrome finally added extensions, I'm just waiting for my must haves before I say good bye. Xmarks is good to go, the adblock is about there(it apparently only hides adds not blocks, so eh), I'm just waiting on NoScript then I'm gone.
I'm sorry but was there a new instance of anticompetitive behavior from MS? I seem to remember MS getting punished from their BS a few years back. Unless I missed something this new round of foolishness was because Opera was complaining because no one uses their browser.
I have to say I love using MPC that comes in the CCCP, but I still keep VLC around because it can do fast playing better than MPC can.
I sound a bit crazy whenever I say this but I enjoy watching shows at 1.75x speed, and some shows like Farscape I was able to get up to 2.5x. I really wish CCCP could do that but oh well.
They also have an Xmarks extension, I'm not seeing a noscript extension though. I just need that and I think I'm good to go. The only thing that bugs me about Chrome is the text highlighting, it highlights the full area not just the text itself. I find that slightly annoying but I can live with it.
Or rig the bot to only fire when fired upon, we already have bullet tracking hardware. 1. Wait 2. Hear/see gun shot 3. Map trajectory and locate source 4. Was the target shooting at the drone? 5. Kill aggressor
The factory of the future will have two employees: a man and a dog. The man's job will be to feed the dog. The dog's job will be to prevent the man from touching any of the automated equipment.
Leave OBAMA alone
It never fails

Well you have to ask for it
buyers remorse?
What movie was that based on?
And they only use power to update the page
That just blows my mind

What's the 4th?

I don't like American Idol but America's Got Talent produce Terry Fator, and well the man's talented.

Isn't that only for sub atomic particles? This is moving the atoms themselves.

No use CCCP like GGP said, Media Player Classic is what CCCP uses to actually play the files, but the CCCP comes with codices to play anything
I've seen worse, despite the errors you still know what he means.
First sale doctrine
I would kind of assume that he would have quit and shut it down if he couldn't cover his costs.
I don't make a habit of searching for reasons to hate MS so meh
Really very nice

>100k per year, +20% finder's fee.
I would have expected higher, but I guess we are in a recession.

A very basic AI that does the job
Maybe I should stop reading /. until I actually finish BSG
Then again with all the spoilers I've heard it seems like the first two seasons were by far the best.
