  1. Ooo, CNN and NPR links. Why don't you link globalwarmingisreal.com while you're busy wasting your time with fake news.

In other word, you got nothing. Congratulations on making a fool of yourself.

  2. Right. Because nothing is more scientific than researchers refusing to share data. Proprietary information is bedrock of scientific progress; don't break it.

Have you considered moving to the other side of the flat earth? I have zero tolerance for people like you - The Data is right out there, a simple web search away, but you apparently either have a political reason of denial, or are new to the intertoobs.

  3. No links, no mention of where temperature recordings were made.

If full links were provided to all the data, would you believe them ?

If no, why ask for links ?

If yes, then why are you doubting the conclusion ?

    Links? We got links! https://edition.cnn.com/2019/0... https://www.npr.org/2019/01/25... https://phys.org/news/2019-01-... https://www.standard.co.uk/new...

    Pages and pages of links.

I'll just note that I haven't found one Fox News link yet, as they are busy showing that Global warming is a hoax........

It snowed in Seattle, you know.

As someone who saw it when it came out in theaters on post when I was in Germany, having a woman as the strong female lead wasn't even in consideration. It was just a fscking cool movie.

One of the strangest issues today is the so called "Strong Female Lead". Hollywood brays as if women were not even in films before, and this is some sort of great liberation over evil "white males". I wouldn't have even put that in there, but anyone thinking otherwise needs to research Brie Larson, the racist and sexist female lead in the new Captain Marvel movie.

If you actually have a strong female lead, you don't have to tell people she's a strong female lead. They can tell by watching the movie. Ripley kicked ass, and you cared about what happened to her. Sarah Conners in the first couple Terminators. Gal Gadot was good in WW, even if feminists were enraged that she shaved her armpits. https://www.maxim.com/entertai... Disclaimer - I do like Linda Carter WW better, but no problem if others differ.

It is high time that Hollywood stop acting like they are embracing racism and sexism. Just because the object of your hatred and vilification is white males, one does not eliminate racism and sexism by becoming a racist and a sexist. And a stronf female lead isn't whining, and inserting your political views into the movie.

Seriously, what the fuck is wrong with you people.

And only Fox News and Joe Bastardi stand in the way of the Conspiracy.

Second snowiest Feb ever ( well, since 1893) and about third or fourth coldest in Spokane.

Snow is more an indicator of high moisture than extreme cold. Also, it's called 'global' warming, not 'Spokane' warming.

Here, check the worldwide map for January: https://data.giss.nasa.gov/gis...

(next month you can go back and check world map for Feb)

In the Eastern part of the US, there is an area called the "Snow Belt" It is warmer than areas north of it, yet gets more snow. How can this be???

As you note, it's moisture. While a fair bit warmer than it's northern neighbors, the temps hover around freezing, which makes for more moisture, and more likely snow storms. The resulting snow doesn't stay on the ground as long, but there is more of it.

If the denialists watched other than Fox News, they would hear more about the anomalously warm places. I did a search on the record breaking heat wave Australia has been having, lots of dead wildlife, fruit bats cooking in trees and dropping off dead, days of 120 degree plus weather.

Lots of coverage by apparently everyone. Four pages in - not one citation or article from Fox News.

But hey - it snowed in Spokane! Time to rewrote the laws of physics.

Fox News loyalists are being kept from the news. Or perhaps are teh lone stalwart of the truth, standing bravely against the entire world. If a place is getting unusual 120 degree plus temps, yet isn't reported, indeed the opposite is being pushed, there is a definite agenda.

Second hottest February on record (hottest was 1990) in Denmark.

This is why the plural of anecdote is not data.

Oz has been having a terrible time in the apparently chilly summer. Daytime highs of only 50 degrees....

    Oh..... wait..... that's 50 degrees C. For the denialists, that's over 120 degrees F.

    http://time.com/5506684/austra...

Now I hesitate to do that sort of tit for tat comparison, as it is still weather. Brutal nasty scary weather.

But when the denialists point to a area suffering through cold as if it negates the physics of atmospheric energy retention, it isn't difficult to point out areas that at the same time are suffering intense heat.

Came back to the Northeast, and snow! Freezing rain! Temps below or near freezing. So much for global warming!

Actually, he might be an employee just doing his job as directed. The logic that it is okay to jail only a million people without trial because 'Murrica bad! is just ludicrous.

Yeah, America jails too many people. This was the result of three major things. Thig one was the "get tough on crime" movement, the victim's right's movement, and the for profit prison system. All were intertwined.

The biggest problem of making the prison system a profit center is that like all corporate entities, you have to make more profit the next quarter. And there are limits to how cheaply you can maintain prisoners, so the answer is to make sure you have more prisoners in prison for a longer time.

For that, the magic elixir of the outrageous mandatory penalties for non-crime crimes like weed possession, the three strikes rules that could put a person in prison for life for silly things like shoplifting food, and the ability of the victims to keep a person in prison based on how they feel.

I can be sympathetic to the victims, but the rest of those assholes should be the ones behind bars.

But here's the thing - it isn't a crime for me to express that opinion. Bill should try some pointed criticism at the Chinese government - calling them assholes that belong in prison.
