So I guess it's ok to have the baby and kill it. That has been done and rule ok if the umbilical cord has not yet been cut. Eventually any mother that no longer wants her child will be able to kill it at any age if she doesn't want it anymore.
Not as much income is lost to piracy as you may think. Many that have copies of stuff they didn't buy wouldn't buy it if they couldn't get free copies.
Although not a large appliance this reminds me of small children drowning in 5 gallon buckets.
A few years ago I remember on one of the daytime talk show a family crying because when they was outside washing the car (or something) and using a 5 gallon bucket their toddler climbed in when they wasn't looking and the child drowned before they found it. I seem to remember that they thought that 5 gallon buckets should have small holes so that the water would run out before the child could drown.

How are you going to scan someones irish if they aren't Irish?
If you mean iris. You probably really mean retina.
There was a show about that on PBS, and the release of the movie, and supposedly they were never for sale, only for lease. At the end of the lease many people wanted to buy the cars but they were not alowed to and they the cars were shreaded. So they never were given a chance to see if they could make it in the market.
Actually many of the tube TVs did not have transformers. When the TV was "off" the tube filaments were on at 1/2 of the time (every other half cycle of the AC power) by having a diode across the power switch oriented so that it was opposite of the diodes for the power for the rest of the TV.
What if you subscibe to a yahoo group that tends to be sexually expicit but you get spam from people about stuff that is not the subject of the group but they say they are spam because you subscribe to the group even though the group might be Pregnant pics and they are addvertising a gay personals site or something like that.
Will they be required to mark there messages sexually-explicit?
If someone rear-ends you. You may wish you wasn't carrying anything on you gun rack. My dad is a carpenter and used to car his levels on a gun rack until someone rear-ended him and a level came out of his gun rack and hit him in the head.
My dad always says "floorboard" when it's the floor of a car and "bar-ditch", when "floor" and "ditch" is easier. I guess the floor of cars used to be wood but I haven't figured out the origin of bar-ditch yet. He is 61 years old so I guess old habits are hard to break
I remember a gag on a comedy show once where someone is driving on the highway and sees what he thinks is a motercycle cop and slows down only to find out it is a cardboard-cut-out. Later he sees another one and runs over it but it is real.
I live in a small town in oklahoma and they have one police car that is painted blue with POLICE in black letters on the side, and no lights on top. At night you cannot tell its a police car unless the lights are flashing. For a few years the Highway Patrol cars, except the ones that patrol on the turnpikes did not have light bars on top. Recently I noticed they have went to using thin light bars that aren't visible from a distance.
I guess rental cars have all of that. I have heard of people getting billed for taking a vehicle out of state, because the car knows when they crossed the state line. I guess people that live close to the state line don't think about it until they get charged for it.
Oklahoma is one of them. If you order something and don't pay sales tx you are supposed to pay use tax. Oklahoma even refuses to have a "tax holiday" At the begining of the school year, like Texas. So every year their are news stories about whether or not it's worth it to spend the gas to drive to Texas, just avoid paying tax on School clothes. Many people seem to think so. Maybe it is if they buy enough and live close enough to the state line
I regitered on NYT a long time a go but have since re installed my OS a few times and lost my password and userid for NYT. I don't read NYT enough to worry about keeping up with it.
I have a cerdit card from a petroleum company that will let you get cash with an ATM and charge it to my account. I had the card a few months and had made purchases with it but had not until that point used it to get cash at an ATM the first time I tried it would let me . I called the company and since it was the first time I had done it they thought it was suspicious, but after that call I had no more problems. Apparently it was one of those things where if it looks like you are going something out of character they stop it on the chance your card has been stolen.
A couple of years ago, when I was managing a motel. I had an incident where I got a phone call from someone in his early 20s that occasionally stayed with us. He wanted to know if he could give me his grandmother's (or some relative) credit card number to pay for the room. She was out of state but he was stranded and need a room. We had let people do that before and so I said ok. The next morning when the other manager arrived and the guy was still asleep, we decided that is was suspcious. I called the number of our credit card authorization service to find out if there was a way to see whose card number it actually was. They determined from the number what bank issuded the card and I called the bank and explained the situation. I don't rememeber if they gave my phone number the the card holder of what, but I spoke to the person to whom the card belonged. I asked her did she know this person that was in my motel she said no. I called the police and the was a warrent for the guys arrest. After that I took card number's over the phone for reservation but told then when they got the room that I had to see the actual card.
If you read the article and watch the video... For some reason they are avoiding converting nad trying to keep things in their original format.

At least in my age group, 30-45, sucked on plastic or rubber nipples when we were babies.

>I'd just tax all income, not just monetary, at 100% for every dollar over 100 Grand.
If you tax someone at 100% they quit making money rather than pay it taxes.

This is why gun racks for trucks were invented.
If someone rear-ends you. You may wish you wasn't carrying anything on you gun rack.
My dad is a carpenter and used to car his levels on a gun rack until someone rear-ended him and a level came out of his gun rack and hit him in the head.
The 35 MPH was on Texas FM roads. FM means Farm to Market. Like county roads but they are numbered.

You call it Taxachussetts and you don't pay taxes on Food and clothing?
Oklahoma taxes everything except what you buy on indian land, which is where most smokers buy there cigarettes.

I was goint to include this in my other message but it did seem to want to let me type that much...
Many years ago my Discover card was stolen. When I called Discover to report it, they wanted a physical desciption of me.
Did they think I would report it stolen in order to try to use it and not pay the bill?

A little off topic, but why has no one on slashdot complained about Cisco using the term
"hackers" in their TV ads about bad guys out of networks?
I disagree with that see this link

Sounds like a theory based on a theory which doesn't prove anything.
