... you might be missing out on an episode or two.
Session (Episode) 22 - "Cowboy Funk" CN claims this episode was "lost," but this is doubted by a lot of fans as the episode deals with a serial bomber "Teddy Bomber" and mysteriously was lost after Sept 11. It's on the DVDs, which I'd highly recommend you pick up if you're interested.
Session XX - "Collection Blues" This is a mystery episode that apparently only aired once during the initial run in japan (from what I've read). Not even sure if this is the correct title, as I've only seen a bad divx copy. The format is a little different and it seems to be a grouping of parts of the other episodes.
Also, the movie is actually quite good. It's not a prequel or sequel but meant to fit in to the series in the middle - sort of a long episode. I'll be headed to the theatre if it plays anywhere near me.
One thing I've noticed is that it's always my work address that seems to get the viruses. In the 10+ years that I've had personal email addresses, I think I've only had maybe 2 even delivered to any account. (This includes free Outlook-enabled web accounts).
There's only a couple conclusions I could draw from this:
1) I am a supreme personal system administrator and do not let any common mundane virus issue affect the harmony of my smoothly oiled machine. (you do you oil computers, right?)
2a) All of my personal friends are apparently not as stupid as they look (this one is hard to believe).
2b) All of my work collegues are definately more stupid than they look (ok this one isn't so hard to believe). heh
3) There is some kind of shield made up of impervious virus-fighting smurfs that protect my personal computer 24 hours a day.
4) Karma (no not that kind)
or most probable:
5) Someone has been reading and deleting my personal email for years.
"Now, if their security systems stopped the intruders cold, why were 7500 credit cards then used fraudulently? I think Egghead has some more explaining to do..."
Well... I guess you could always read the next sentence...
"At this point it is difficult
to determine whether any fraudulent activity on this relatively small
number of credit cards can be traced back to the attack on our system, or
whether it may be the result of credit card theft elsewhere. At this point,
the evidence we have gathered to-date suggests that these credit card
numbers were NOT obtained from our site.
"
You'd think they'd try to be extra nice to these guys...
With all the concern about the Iridium satellites coming down unguided, I'd hate to think about what would happen if one of these guys got really mad and decided to give the ISS a shove towards Earth. Bet mom in Nebraska wouldn't be too happy to see the world's largest Erector set come flying into her backyard and mess up the flowers...
(and yes for you physicists out there, I know it doesn't quite work that way...)
CU is on fire?!?!
Wait... does this mean that the cornhuskers might still have a chance this year?
Nah... probably not.

The "long piece" link seems to be broken.
("Sorry, such file doesn't exist...")
Here's a link to the LawMeme page.
The Blizzard article is at the top.
Ahhh... an army of one.
Yes, there's nothing like the feeling of watching one tiny little iron age swordsman defeat a modern day tank, one tiny chunk at a time.
(doesn't that just give you a great mental picture - Russell Crowe takes on an M1 Abrams?)

Instead of random files from an infected computer, why can't somebody write a virus that would send me a job offer!
Heck - all of these years forced to work with Outlook in corporate America ought to be worth something.
PS - anybody needing an out-of-work CTI Systems Engineer, please let me know!
(I also do sprinklers...)
Am I the only one who thinks that filling the envelopes full of SPAM
(not to be confused with electronic spam) would be extremely funny?
Sure, a little smelly maybe, but...

brianboruNow where can I get a bound copy of last year's slashdot archive? I don't want to turn into a nerd... brianboru
