When the phones were sold, the carriers would have used the future earnings from these phones to offset the initial discount.
Now they cannot make that money
Somewhat unfair isnt it?
You're still in a contract with the carrier so they get their subsidized money back. This just means when you're done with your contract you can take your phone with you to another carrier.
To each their own. In MW2 I never had to worry if I was joining a server with abusive admins, or that had retarded rules (crouch only server! knives only this round! shotguns only this round!). I never had to worry if I was joining a server with stacked teams built to run up their rankings, and I never had to worry if the game was lying about how many players were actually on their server. In MW2 I just click play and a minute or two later I'm playing. Maybe my computer is at the center of the internet because I very rarely had connection issues. Having played both, if I had to pick I'd take the MW2 matchmaking system any day.

I took my credit card off my itunes account a while ago after I started hearing stories on the news of kids running up huge bills and what a nightmare it is to get Apple to act. I can still "buy" the free games, and I don't have to worry about my kid accidentally selecting something that costs money. On the rare occasion that I do want to buy something from Apple it prompts me for payment information and I just have to enter in my credit card information.
This has the added bonus of preventing someone from discovering your username and password and running up a huge bill.
The big problem with this is the online school has to be ABET accredited for your engineering degree to mean anything to anyone, and ABET seems to think that if you spend less than $30,000 your degree is worthless, regardless of what's being taught by who.
Why does there need to be word control? The issue you described above could be easily solved by analyzing the words before and after, if you only say "Fry" into the mic and expect Siri to respond with something other than "I'm not sure what you mean by fry" then your expectations are too high.
Additionally, if you said something like "Order me a pizza" in which there are numerous ways to do, at the very least it should say, "Here are some options for ordering pizza, Launch the Papa Johns app, Launch the Pizza Hut app, Call a local pizza place which I've listed for you."
It's not a cut scene, IE a movie that plays where you have no control, it's an actual one room map of an 8x10 cell where all you can do is crouch, jump, and walk around in the cell and the only way to leave the cell is to quit the game.

IT workers propose bill requiring citizen referendum on any congressional pay
There fixed that for you.
If you honestly believed 100% that when you die you go to a beautiful place then why mourn death?
For the same reason you get sad when your friends move away?
Tests are supposed to fine failures
Maybe we could run more "tests" to help balance the budget? =)

A strange game. The only winning move is not to play. How about a nice game of chess?
To take the PE license exam you must have a 4 year degree from an ABET school.
MIT and UCB are ABET : http://main.abet.org/aps/AccreditedProgramsDetails.aspx?OrganizationID=41 http://main.abet.org/aps/AccreditedProgramsDetails.aspx?OrganizationID=368

Just about the only way I can think of to wrest power away from these folks is if the 99% were to stop buying everything for more than 90 days.
Or show up to the voting booth with the intent to vote out those who don't agree with the 99%.
You can bag groceries, that's one area the humans have defeated the machines. "Supermarkets bag self-service checkout"

At least they didn't show up asking for money, they showed up with a plan to work within their means.
