Its usually lower than even 0.80 INR.
On my plan, standard rate is 0.50 INR per sms.
If I buy a pack worth 30 INR (~0.75 USD), I get 100 messages on it (@ 0.30 INR per sms) and 0.50 after that (yet to exceed that limit).
I could've gone on with voice rates, but I'll better let that wait for another thread.
Indian space agency ISRO is launching a record 10 satellites through a single rocket today.
Apart from Cartosat-2 (690 kg), all other 9 are 'nano' satellites from India, Canada and Germany.

What, a conspiracy theory?
There hardly remains any doubt about it anymore.
The recent lawsuits against Vista got out enough M$ and Intel dirty laundry so it no longer remains a conspiracy theory, but a proven public fact.
True. The patent system needs to evolve with time. It may have been good when it was first created but now with so many new developments it has lost relevance in many fields, most notably computer software.
I stand corrected.
Perhaps this may actually fall in the mixed stream of "Engineering Management", involving elements from both Engineering and Management, yes?
I use the same approach.
We work better with smaller goals, which can be quantified.
Its easier to remain focussed on small goals which can be achieved quickly, rather than larger goals which may tend to overwhelm us and also may result in loss of motivation after a while.
And the same approach can be used in many other areas, not just new year resolutions.
Infact, I'd rather call it a good management approach than an engineering approach.
*ducks for cover*
The "Phone" system involves a dedicated connection to be setup between two nodes, assuring the highest level of QoS.
The "Internet Protocol" system is not a dedicated connection, but just a stream of packets flowing between two nodes, which does not assure all data (voice here) may get delivered without delay.
You can pause and wait for a response while on IM, but it can be frustrating on a voice call.
Its up to the Government to set a consumer friendly telecom policy.
In India, people can use any phone to connect to any cellphone network, as long as its compatible. There's no locking to a particular network (atleast in GSM networks). Due to competition and proactive Govt policy, companies have been forced to drive prices to the floor. But as a result, more people are going mobile. India is the fastest growing mobile phone market in the world, ahead of even China. Companies still make money because of the numbers.
Mexico is an antithesis. Carlos Slim Helu has a vice like monopoly over the telecom industry, helping him dethrone Bill Gates as the richest man in the world. Rates are ridiculous for a developing country like Mexico, also hampering growth.
Hmm. This is beyond Facebook vs Myspace.
All Facebook fanboys seem to forget that its only big in US, and there too not the biggest yet (may get there, but who's seen the future!). For people in India, where I'm from, Orkut is the default social network. Everybody's there. 10 year old kids, 60 year old grand dads, but not to forget, India's teeming youth. Almost everyone from my school, university, work etc. Everyone!
OpenSocial wasn't built to save Myspace. It was built to serve as a common API to developers to develop apps for all social network.
Apps on Facebook are very cool, but with the barrage of apps which have come up, it has totally screwed up their UI. It takes a newcomer a little while to find his bearings there. And even for experienced users, the app spam is becoming too much. Then you have profiles where a user has added dozens of apps, making it pretty much like a highly jumbled up myspace page, though without the graphic stuff.
Facebook has been going great guns so far, but they now have a very credible opponent. And it shall make for very interesting following.

Amount of bloatware added with each progressive version?
Sadly, they are (fooling very many). As always. But Vista is slowly changing things.

I just can't imagine what would've happened if it was in VB.
The saga of bad QoS on Chinese products continues. Perhaps they bribed the testing team?

Sherlock Holmes was regarded as an expert bee keeper. So...was it his innate analytical mind, or just his pet bees?
She seriously scares me. They should have a "Here be Mrs Roberts" sign warning others of her presence in the neighbourhood.
